My family’s business once did a renovation job for a family who always answered the phone “it’s a mad house” whenever you rang them, this story does really go anywhere after that, but anecdotes are fun, aren’t they?

Mad House is a tee company founded in late-2004 “with the goal of entertaining the world through clever and humorous t-shirt designs.” Also, Mad House has a belief that a tee doesn’t need to be offensive to be funny, something which doesn’t necessarily hold true with their latest design, which thankfully is only going to be sold on one run.

If I were to make a comparison in terms of style, I’d probably have to say BustedTees, except slightly cuter and more sophisticated in terms of design and subject matter, respectively.

I’d be a pretty heartless guy if I didn’t mention why Mad House is a bit different, here’s some blurb about the owner/artist Jared Aronson from the site:

“At the age of six, Jared was diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy, and is now confined to a wheel chair on a ventilator 24/7. Despite his misfortunes, he has found ways to continue with his love of drawing. Jared’s drawings are now exclusively accomplished with a track ball mouse on his laptop computer.”

I’m really impressed that Jared has enough passion and commitment to continue with Mad House despite having such a debilitating disease.
