Karmaloop‘s current sale has hunrdeds and hundreds of items at knocked-down prices, so I’ve tried to take some of the work out of it for you by picking some of my favourite items. Two for guys, two for girls, all with some blurb:

paulfrankbear HYAs Top Picks from the Karmaloop sale

Paul Frank – Brown Bear Shooting hoodie: Fully zippered, well lined hoody, with button flap pockets at waist. Corduroy shoulder patch detail on right. Bear print on left chest. $59.20 (20% off)

letigreargylemerino HYAs Top Picks from the Karmaloop sale

Le Tigre – Argyle Merino V-neck sweater in Charcoal: Apparently, Argyle isn’t just for socks any more. That’s a good thing because, as this sweater proves, this pattern, on your chest, is the best thing that’s happened to your upper body since the Le Tigre polo. $48 (50% off)

paulfrankshakas HYAs Top Picks from the Karmaloop sale

Paul Frank – The Aqua Drop Shakas sweatshirt: Ummm, what’s a Shaka(s)? This design is fairly reminiscent of those Johnny Cupcakes tees that Urban Outfitters ripped-off (yeah, that’s right I didn’t even add an allegedly to that satement!) but I don’t think Paul Frank would stoop so low as to copy someone else. Did you notice the plaid lining on the hood? Sweet. $29.95 (50% off)

soundgirlracetrack HYAs Top Picks from the Karmaloop sale

Soundgirl – The Race Track Hoodie: Pretty cool distressed checkerboard, with some extra little violator prints put in for good measure. There’s a bit more checkerboard on one sleeve too. I like how they’ve made it pink, but not so ridiculously pink that it goes from girly to girly-girly. $30.95 (28% off)

Brooklyn Industries: Awesome sale

by Andy on January 5, 2007

Brooklyn Industries, the purveyors of fine clothing goods, are having a big sale with big discounts. Helpfully, they’ve categorised the products into price categories, although those categories don’t meet each other in the middle, which is weird (eg $10-19 followed by $29-39, odd?).

They’ve got the Griffin Instaria jumper that I mentioned a while back on sale for less than a third of it’s original price, just $19!

I can’t say enough good things about the quality of Brooklyn Industries products (I might even make a purchase myself) so I wholeheartedly recommend that you check it out before everything sells out.

I’m such a Chunky monkey

The guys over at Chunky Threads may only have five designs available at the moment but the seem to have kicked things off with some fun, cheeky, and most importantly, quality designs. There’s definitely a popculture aspect to all their designs, with tees focusing on Mr. T and Chuck Norris, except for a change the designs don’t make you groan at so many of the rushed designs that were clearly made to cash-in on last years roundhouse kicking Chuck Norris hysteria. The blurbs that they put with each tee are pretty fun too, in that irreverent “we’re not going to tell you what this tee is really about” kind of a way.

Oh, and they decided to start the business in a pub and after many nights of drinking, just how much more Australian could they be!
