Another month, and another microloan donation to someone via Kiva.org. This month I thought I’d try and keep things a bit topical by loaning money to a man in Azerbaijan who sells clothing. He’s going to use the money to expand his business. If you would like to help his cause then feel free to click on the box below (when the total loan amount is raised a new loanee will occupy the box).
This months loan amount was $27.50, which is not 50% of this months advertising revenue, but Kiva allow you to loan in amounts of $25 (+10% admin which you don’t have to give but I choose to) and I couldn’t pay in an amount that was near to these $25 increments, so I’m rolling that spare amount over to next month so that I can give a bumper amount to whatever cause I choose.

1[...] I’m just writing to inform you that we’re trying out two tiny advertising boxes over on right , under all the links. They are brought to you by Project Wonderful and are the first time we’ve ever tried making any money (even if it’s just cents) off of this blog. Hopefully we will be able to use the $$$s (note: number of ‘$’s subject to change at any time) to run our own little ads. Maybe we’ll be able to do some donations like Andy at Hide Your Arms, although out of all the tee shirt blogs (okay, he does long sleeves only), I think he has a pretty high readership. And he deserves it! [...]
