That's great to hear about the gold foil, I love that stuff on tees! I noticed the oven mitt too, that's a real nice touch.

I really respect your approach to stores, it takes a pretty strong will not to sell out!

Thanks for the feature on one of my shirts! I just stumbled upon this dope hideyourarms site. To clear up a few things...

It IS gold foil!

I even have oven mitt shapped neck tags built into some of my newer shirts.

I only sell my shirts through my store and website (with the exceptions of a few quality boutiques). One bigger store picked up my shirts for a month(Metro Park)... until I found out how big they were and their expansion plans - I then immediately removed my shirts & canceled my account with them.

Everyone likes what nobody else has. I could make a quick buck going in all these stores, expanding, etc etc.. But it is more important to me to have a strong brand with longevity, backed up by a cult following.

Thanks again for the feedback & don't hesitate to contact me if anyone has any questions etc..

Best,
Johnny Cupcakes

I don't think JC is sold at Nordstrom's - isn't part of his thing that he doesn't want to be sold in that many stores, and no big chains?

Johnny Cupcakes always have good designs. Having the name or logo of the company in the design doesn't bother me much. I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I think the label is okay here. I'd buy this, if it weren't for sale at almost every popular store around me. I see people who get Johnny Cupcakes shirts from Nordstrom's!
