I haven’t been mentioning the weekly Threadless updates for a while simply because I wasn’t really being wow-ed by any of the new items, but these two tees this week have really blown me away.
‘Play‘ really just feels like a thorough-bred design that has been honed by so many years of people creating ‘that’ Threadless look. The illustration isn’t overly complicated, but still looks really good, and like a lot of Threadless classic designs, it’s funny, but not that funny.
‘Sugar and Spice‘ on the other hand doesn’t really have the Threadless feel, it almost looks like it should have been released as part of the Select range. The level of detail is really impressive as well, though as ever with this kind of design, I do wonder how well it can be printed and how long the print will last, I’ve only ever bought relatively simple Threadless tees, but for some reason I don’t think that their printing process would be able to stand up to repeated washing with this level of detail.
