I’m not really into DIYing clothes, probably because I have far more than any person needs (although I did get my MacGyver on in Amsterdam, making cufflinks out of some random clips I found in a supermarket), but I’m glad that Threadbanger finally gave me a reason to post about them in the form of this tutorial of how to make a hoodie out of a t-shirt with surprisingly few materials. I’d recomment trying this out on an old tee first, since I’d presume that making your own clothes would be a pretty disaster-strewn process for those of you who aren’t experinced.
Here’s the tutorial in text and picture form.
And a video tutorial.

I know this blog does Veer off topic quite a lot as it is, but I thought that as the Imaginary Foundation are a much loved entity around here that I’d point out the notcot post about IFs show at the Stussy store in New York San Francisco since it has a load of pictures in it.

Just in case anyone was confused by the competition, I think that the sentence would total 8 words, ‘Design is…’ plus 6 more. The Six Cities competition they held yielded some really impressive tees by designers that you can name drop and ‘normal’ people will actually recognise them!
