I am so going to be wearing this when I head out on Saturday night to see my friends, because even though I’ve got tees in my wardrobe that I think are better designed, a tee like this gets you some attention, and I really want to see my friends blinking at me all night. Unless no one blinks, in which case I’ll probably just break down in tears, perhaps then I’ll get a pity blink…

Like I said, I do think I’ve got better designed tees in my wardrobe, but is the simplicity of this tee that makes it so likeable. If this was an incredibly artfully designed tee, it wouldn’t work, and I don’t think it would work if it was in the the Threadlessian style (yeah Joe, I can make up words too!) it probably wouldn’t work, but the surprisingly authentic faded 70s look really hits the spot. Also, I’m happy that this is a one-colour print, because I wouldn’t have been too impressed if the hearts were in pink, that would have probably made it a bit too feminine for me, and the one-colour print also gives it more of a DIY feel, which I think suits the sentiment of the message.

Quality is great, I can tell that they’re passionate about tees Vintage Vantage know what they’re doing. I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say that its printed with water-based ink, since you can’t really feel the ink, and the tee is mighty soft too. The cut is “athletic”, which means that it fits slightly on the snug side, but they are pretty stretchy too, so I don’t think there’s much of a need to order a size up unless you really don’t like the idea of wearing anything that approaches being tight.

This post is totally without irony, because I’m currently looking to redecorate ‘the office’ (step 1: put up Jeremyville poster. check!) and I think that wall graphics might be a fun way to go, that, and I think that this is a really cool direction for Threadless to go in, if only they’d start releasing designs as art prints. Actually, I’d be willing to bet that when they open their store, which has gallery space, that prints might become an option with new designs.
Threadless has teamed up with Blik and released 9 designs as stickers, and some of them are actually fairly old designs, which is pretty surprising.
This looks like it might be an ongoing thing, since you can vote for the next ‘installment’ of designs.

Divine are one of my favourites, I can’t deny it, there is just that little something great about their designs that I can’t quite put my finger on, which I guess isn’t a good thing since its pretty much my job to tell you why I like clothes…

It feels a little silly that I’m showing you pictures of these two designs that are relatively simple, especially since the Someone & someone & someone & someone theme has been used by a lot of designers, although I’m a Seinfeld fan so I’ll let it slide. “Everything is going to be ok” is simple, but I really like it, its just so well put together, and I love that we the humble customer and told about the story behind the design, if there is a story at all, so you can just make it up yourself. Also, I think it would be funny if someone had worn this to one of those Live Earth concerts.
Oh, and the new site looks pretty cool too!
