12 Review: Blink If You Love Me by Vintage Vantage

I am so going to be wearing this when I head out on Saturday night to see my friends, because even though I’ve got tees in my wardrobe that I think are better designed, a tee like this gets you some attention, and I really want to see my friends blinking at me all night. Unless no one blinks, in which case I’ll probably just break down in tears, perhaps then I’ll get a pity blink…

Like I said, I do think I’ve got better designed tees in my wardrobe, but is the simplicity of this tee that makes it so likeable. If this was an incredibly artfully designed tee, it wouldn’t work, and I don’t think it would work if it was in the the Threadlessian style (yeah Joe, I can make up words too!) it probably wouldn’t work, but the surprisingly authentic faded 70s look really hits the spot. Also, I’m happy that this is a one-colour print, because I wouldn’t have been too impressed if the hearts were in pink, that would have probably made it a bit too feminine for me, and the one-colour print also gives it more of a DIY feel, which I think suits the sentiment of the message.

Quality is great, I can tell that they’re passionate about tees Vintage Vantage know what they’re doing. I’m going to take a stab in the dark and say that its printed with water-based ink, since you can’t really feel the ink, and the tee is mighty soft too. The cut is “athletic”, which means that it fits slightly on the snug side, but they are pretty stretchy too, so I don’t think there’s much of a need to order a size up unless you really don’t like the idea of wearing anything that approaches being tight.
