17 Review: Man by Robin @ Design By Humans

As soon as I saw this tee I thought to myself “this looks a lot more like art than a tee design.” And you know what, I may not no art but I know what I like… no wait, I do know art, because:

“Jumbo print originally created with water-color paints on canvas.”

Oh yeah, Andrew Bowness, art afficionadorecogniser!

As designs go, its not something that immediately strikes me as something that suited the medium of the tee, but then after a few days of it sitting in the pile of ‘tees to be reviewed’ it started to grow on me, and now I can really see it working with a lot of other items in my wardrobe. I don’t know if its the colourway, but I don’t know how comfortable I’d be wearing this on its own (and when I say own, I do mean with some sort of trouser), but paired with a zip-up hoodie or a shirt I reckon it could look great.

One aspect of the design that I’m utterly in love with, is the way that the edges of the image make it seem as if the print was painted on by hand, I know it wasn’t, but its a great look.

Quality report: The tee is soft and quite fitted, the print is noticeable when you run your hand over it, but on a print of this size that’s to be expected, and I think it’ll soften up even more after a couple of washes. I don’t really know how they’ve achieved this kind of quality at such a low price point.
