18 Review: CCTV Stares by Glass Boutique

So, I live in a ’surveillance society’, there are about 4.2 million CCTV cameras in Britain, and even though I live in the peaceful countryside, I went into a store today where the level of monitoring is to the extent where there were microphones subtly hidden about the place, something that other customers, and possible even employees, wouldn’t have been aware of. So it’s hardly a surprise that when Glass Boutique had a competition to pick their next designs that an image of two cameras facing each other was the eventual winner.

To be honest, I don’t really know why there’s two cameras staring at each other, maybe the idea is that Britain is now so dangerous that even the CCTV cameras are scared and need to watch over themselves (which, by the way, isn’t true). Why’s one camera upside down? No idea, but the way that the pole the camera is on goes all the way up to the shoulder is a really nice touch, especially with the symmetry of the pole running to the bottom hem of the tee. The graphic itself.has a slightly fuzzy quality to it, perhaps this is a reference to the low quality images that we see from CCTV cameras on the news?

I know that this is a really weird thing to say about a tee, and it isn’t a test that I perform all the time, but this tee smelt really good, yeah, I experience more fresh tees than a lot of people, but this one smelt really fresh! It felt great too, I don’t recognise the stock brand, but it sure is soft, about as thick as a heavy tee (though not feeling as heavy), and I would describe the fit as somewhere between an athletic fit and a regular shaped tee. Overall, its a quality product that matches up to the expectations that I had of Glass Boutique.

polargardening Threadless: Polar Gardening

Its been a while since the last Threadless Pick, I’m not going to make a pick every week if I think the quality isn’t there in the latest releases, because then I just feel as if I’m fishing for street team points.

I don’t really think that this works all that well as a tee, but the design style and character is just sooo cute! The fact that the character is sucking on a lolly seems to really add something to this, if they were just stood there watching their crop, I don’t think that it would be quite as lovable.

Oh yeah! I am lovin’ this tee from I-Manifest. I think its got something to do with the patterns that are being used to make up the image, it just feels as if they’ve taken a fairly normal looking tee and kicked it up a notch by throwing all of these patterns in there. Its all really the cool the way that when you initially glance at it, to be frank, the design looks like a mess, but then after a few seconds, it all comes together and you start to appreciate just how nice of a design it is.

Concrete Hermit Gallery Sneak Peak

shoppic1 (Custom).jpg

Concrete Hermit, the brand that have a hand in everything (clothes, books, art…) are going to be launching a gallery in London in the near-future, and I stumbled upon the website of said gallery through an Italian google search in my referrer logs, there isn’t much there at the moment, but check it out anyway.

I know that the picture doesn’t really tell you all that much, except that the walls are white and they’re going to be using a HP printer for… something, but I’m really excited about this venture, and I just wanted to alert you to somewhere that you should visit if you happen to be in this great nation’s capital… when it opens (which I’m told should be sooner than the picture indicates).

sin-4-1 Evolution of Flight by Ten Bills

I know I’ve already mentioned this hoodie before but since Ten Bills have dropped the price of the hoodie down to the stunningly low price of $10 (equal to their tees) I though it deserved a second mention. The only catch is that you have a rather large print of the Ten Bills logo on the back, which is a bit of a turn off for some people, but out of sight, out of mind, right?
