A blog about hoodies & t-shirts

In my heart, I know I shouldn’t really like this design. I’d see it on a hanger in a shop and think it was stupid. I’d lay it out on a table and think, “people that wear this kind of thing are idiots.” But… I just know that if I were to actually put it on, I would think that I looked awesome, and everyone else would be an idiot for not dressing as amazingly as I do.

I have that very same thought process whenever I see a design like this, something that my head tells me is a bit wrong, but my heart tells me to open up my wallet and fork over the cash before the head manages to catch up. Oh, and to those of you that don’t like paint splatters, sorry for subjecting you to splatter overload!

How To Get Posted on Design Blogs

I thought that one or two of you might be interested in this article, titled “Design Blog Editors Teach You How to Get Your Shit Published Online” which is part of Core77’s ‘Hack2School’ guide, which looks like a must-read for design students out there. There’s tips from people who run HYA faves like Cool Hunting, Josh Spear (which I’ve been featured on), and probably my favourite site, Notcot, as well as a few other blogs that just hit my radar.

There’s some good tips in there, many of which I’d like to see applied to some of the pitches I get e-mailed.

For something a bit more tee specific, Joe wrote a good guide a while back called “How To: get Your Cool T-Shirts Reviewed by T-Shirt Blog” that might be of interest to those of you thinking about getting your brand some more exposure.
