Substratum were mentioned a few days ago on Josh Spear, and just like every apparel line they write about, I took a look, and I was impressed by what I saw. Naturally, the use of a flash-based website is a bit of an annoyance, but I guess it does make it look nice. The design is of a load of fish, which is cool, I just figured it was a bunch of fish swimming about in the ocean, but no, I was well off the mark:
Intertwining both elements from Land & Sea, these flying fish are soaring high above our land while making a dive towards their ocean home. Unbound by the sea’s currents, our planet is their playground.
Okey dokey!

Resist Today (Iron-On Resistance to those of us from the old skool) are giving you a free tee of your choice from a selection for every $30 you spend in their store. When you consider that some of their tees are $24 (though some are a more wallet friendly $10) its a really good deal. In fact, if you were to pick up a print of theirs for around $65, you’d get two free tees with your purchase, sounds like a good idea for people heading off to college who might want to spruce up their dorm rooms.
Check out the free tees on their sale page.

END OF SUMMER SALE
Our Fall 07 Collection is coming soon and we need to make some room…. so almost everything in our store is on sale!!!!! ( Everything except The Quiet Life x Lakai shoes series - since these items are so new and we only have a few pairs of each model left anyway. )
Unfortunately, the hoodie I recommended well over a year ago is long gone, but the felt patch hoodie pictured is on sale (back by popular demand apparently) at $50 down from $60.

You know what? I really liked this design, it was simple, but it looked really solid, and then I noticed the logo. Slapped right in the middle (okay, a bit lower than the middle, but still involved in a design element). It just doesn’t fit, it ruins the flow, its the lack of subtlety that annoys my more than anything else. My suggestion? Put the logo on the edge of the hood, its not as blatant, and people would still know what you’re wearing, everybody wins!
