I think that having the model wear a bandana makes this hoodie look like it should only be worn by wannbe gangsters, but I think it deserves a much wider demographic than that, its a solid design with lots of intricate details.
Whilst I don’t think that anywhere would be able to beat Tokyo for finding vintage clothing (although I remember some decent places in New York), I thought that the Brits reading HYA would like to be pointed towards another Gridskipper link that might help prevent them trawling around all the charity shops in London trying to find an obscure 70s pop culture reference on a t-shirt… that was actually made in the 70s.

Yes, this is an excellent looking design, and so it would justifiably be voted through to printing. But I rather conspiratorially think that this might have had a little helping hand through the process by the fact that the Legion of Doom (an artist collective that actually met through Threadless) are well-known to people at the big T, since they designed a 40″ by 60″ print as a present for them to commemorate the opening of the Chicago store.

I guess its hardly a surprise that this design got printed, the Legion of Doom (aka Black Rock Collective) make great, Threadless-friendly designs, and it’s just great to see more collaborations from them.
