A blog about hoodies & t-shirts

ShirtCity recently gave themselves a rather shinier new look, which looks rather lovely, but that’s not really of interest to me today, I’m looking at Scribtee, their latest baby. If you look at their brand as a whole, ShirtCity offers a process and service similar to Spreadshirt, whilst Scribtee is much like Threadless (and LaFraise, Split the Atom, Teetonic, etc., etc., etc.).

Whilst the idea itself.is hardly original, they’ve got some great designs, and seem dedicated to keeping things limited (the first range of shirts is limited to 100 a piece, I’m not sure about future releases) and as environmentally responsible as possible (fair trade, organic, buzzword friendly tees from American Apparel and the increasingly popular Continental Clothing).

I’m sure some of you will groan and say “arrrghhhh!!! Another design competition!!!” But to me, as long as the quality is good the more the better.

Here’s the latest news of line releases from my inbox:

XLarge: If you like XLarge than I get the feeling that you’ll really like this new Fall range from them, lots of great gorilla-loving designs.

A.M.P Street: Leif has been keeping up an impressive release pace of limited edition tees so there’s bound to be something in there that’s new to you. Here’s my two favourites.

Glarkware: They dropped three pretty-damn-random designs earlier this month, that might tickle your fancy.

Wrongwroks: They dropped a few new hats and tees a couple of weeks ago, which was apparently a good enough reason to get their model in her underwear again (yeah, you’re clicking that link, aren’t ya?).

Mimoco Apparel: I was actually pretty excited when the guys from Mimoco e-mailed me about this, which I think proves just how much of a geek I am. The people that make those extremely coveted USB flash drives (which sometimes wear hoodies, I do believe), have branched out into thw rold of apparel and are now offering a selection of tees that have the USB flash-drive shape integrated into the designs. I know you’d think that sounds lame, but it actually works very well, on both a geeky and a non-geeky level.

Neighborhood - Technical Apparel: I usually hate Flash-based websites, but these designs are good enough to make me forgive them for that. More new stuff coming from them on October 22nd too, so make sure you check back for that. (notice that the date in the top tee design is the same as today? creepy?)

TenBills: They’ve ‘finally’ managed to get their latest line out of the door, and it’s a continuation/sequel to their first called, as it has been named ‘First Flight pt.II’ and is very much worth your click through, especially since they’re still just $10 bucks a pop (I bet the TenBills guys wish they’d bough fifteenbills.com!).

Nodiktat: For no reason other than that I drove through their hometown of Antibes on my way to Nice airport a couple of days ago and was reminded that I should check them out more often. So I did, noticed that they’ve got some great designs (including fantastic multi-coloured wallstickers), and thought that you guys might be interested too.
