sleeper Sleeper Hoodie by Burton

Generally, when I think about hoodies (and I often do), I don’t think of it as being a technological or innovative product, and that’s coming from the guy who is still amazed by glow in the dark ink!

But Burton aren’t really a traditional clothes company, they seem to love injecting innovation into their products, and this Sleeper hoodie is no different. Here’s their blurb:

No more crying babies, stiff neck, lost tickets, swampy arm pits or annoying flourescent lights in your face. Inflate the integrated neck pillow in the hood, pull down the hood’s light shield, crank up your new age mix or pop in your ear plugs, then pop some sleeping pills. Next stop nirvana. Travel as you know it will never be the same.

* 80% Cotton / 20% Polyester
* Cuff Thumb Holes
* Custom Zipper Pull
* Hidden Stash Pocket with Ear Plugs
* Interior Jersey Lining
* Pit Zips
* Removable, Inflatable Neck Pillow
* Snap-Out Light Shield
* Sound Pocket with Headphone Cable Port
* Zippered, Internal Passport and Ticket Pocket

Now that was quite a lot of blurb, but that’s a really impressive feature list (although I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the sleeping pills). If I were to fly anywhere this is the hoodie that I’d want to be wearing, and whilst paying $100 for a hoodie just for flying seems like quite a lot, I’d be willing to bet that after a couple of long haul flights it would actually seem pretty cheap.
