I haven’t done a ‘Threadless pick’ for a while, not because the releases sucked, but just because they didn’t amaze me and I was worried about hitting you with Threadless overload, but this weeks releases had couple of real gems amongst them. I’ve picked the above design, ‘I Love Tokyo‘, because 1) I do, and 2) Pink on black tees works really well when the pink is used fairly sparingly. And I’ve picked Sound Advice, because Olly Moss seems to be able to only design tees that I like, and he’s hit the nail on the head again with what appears to be a t-shirt disguised as a public safety sign.

In other Threadless news, they’ve finally released a tee on their own brand of custom tees (how long did that take? Didn’t they have some of the ‘I [heart] Threadless’ tees on custom earlier in the year?), and picked ‘Home Is Where the Heart Is‘ as the tee that should receive that honour, personally, I don’t understand why they picked a design that is better suited to a polo shirt, but hey, I don’t run a successful tee business so I’ll let them decide. Oh, and remember, the $10 sale is continuing until December 16th.

Even though I quite like this hoodie, and even the colourway itself, I’m not overly enthused by the use of green for the hoodie something just seems a bit… off about it, perhaps black or white would have been more effective? I think they’ve done a pretty good job of making a paint splatter based hoodie that doesn’t really feel like the paint-splatter designs that have been so popular in the past, this feels more like paint has been poured down the fabric than thrown at it, although it would be nice if the design continued over onto the back of the hoodie rather than just stopping at the top of the shoulder like this one does.

Remember a few weeks ago when I told you that Tasty Tees were making a tee based upon the ‘pay what you want’ ethos behind Radiohead’s latest album, In Rainbows? Well, if you missed it and want one, I’m afraid its tough luck, they’ve all been printed up and shipped out, and the stats are in…
Average price was $3.37.
20% paid a penny
25% paid a $1
The highest paid was $20
Frankly, this knocks my faith in humanity a bit, I was expecting more of the tee buying public, but kudos to whoever spent $20 on it, oh, and all those figures exclude the $5 shipping fee, so all-in the average was more like $8.37.

Okay, let’s face it, I’m basically in love with the design work of Susie Ghahremani, I wonder if she’ll ever venture to the UK for a show so that I can check her work out for real.
Part zebra, part keyboard, its one of those ‘how didn’t I think of that?’ designs, true?

Considering I thought that celebrities were sent free clothes all the time, Britney Spears does seem to wear that Clover hoodie by Primp rather a lot, I’ve seen her wearing it on what I think were three separate occasions now on The Superficial (yeah, I read it, big whup, wanna fight about it?), presumably all shots taken on her frequent trips to Starbucks.
