A blog about hoodies & t-shirts

Threadless Bingo @ Fantastic Bonanza: Hipster bingo for all! The FB guys have coded up a fun little bingo card that randomly selects different Threadless designs, then you print it out next time you’re going to a place where people wear pork-pie hats and have ironic facial hair and tick off a Threadless design if you spot it. A lot of fun and a little nudge at the ubiquity of Threadless nowadays.

Faveur Clothing: Free shipping until December 31st with the coupon code getcovered.

No Star Clothing: They’ve just dropped 11 new designs and have still got a load of designs available for the low, low price of $12.

Johnny Cupcakes: They’ve got a ‘bake sale’ going down, along with new kids shirts and scarves.

Your Eyes Lie: New designs, and I’ve got a review coming up soon.

All Jelly No Toast: Everything is on sale, even I’m tempted to buy something! And for those of you that were put off buying Chateau Roux in the past, here’s one of their amazingly high quality tees for *just* $42.99.

I remember a few months ago when I was watching this episode of BBC2s ‘Mock the Week’ (I never miss is, thanks Sky+!) that I could have sworn I’d seen the t-shirt being worn by Russel Howard before. Incidentally, if you don’t know who Russel Howard is, you should, he’s a very funny man and a real up-and-comer in the UK standup world, there’s lots of his stuff on YouTube, or if you aren’t a fan of copyright infringement, try his own website. Back to the tee, I had seen it before, on EIOs website, as its part of their marvelous Autumn/Winter07 collection.

hoodsiekidslarge Threadless invents the hoodsie

On the HYA about page, along with being woefully out of date, it jokes that I’ll write about onesies since they hide your arms. Well, it may have taken almost two years, but I finally freakin’ did it!

Threadless say that they asked their printers to get them onsies with hoods on them, and that the printers came back empty-handed, so they just made them themselves, and the ‘hoodsie’ was born. Now, I realise I’ve got my skeptical hat on here, but as they state in their own blog post, there are costumes likes this for kids, and whilst they do have ears on them usually, so that the baby looks like a bear or whatever, that doesn’t stop them from being a hoodsie now does it?

Still, they’re sooooooo cute!

All my friends love the face printed onto the hood of my Ice Wizard hoodie by Seibei (the coupon code ‘hideyourarms’ might get you 10% off there, I can’t remember), so I figured you guys might like to take a look at this reversible hoodie from Soulful Commandoe since it not only has a face on it, but a robotic themed one at that!

I guess the idea is to make the wearer look like a robot, something that might achieve dubious levels of success, but it still looks pretty cool. One of the most interesting things about this hoodie is that from the looks of it you can actually entirely zip it in half, and then zip it together to another of SFCs hoodies to create some kind of a franken-hoodie. I can’t imagine that looking all that nice, but still, very interesting. Oh, and the interior/reverse looks pretty cool as well.
