I’m not the kind of guy to get involved in that ludicrous debate that went on a few months ago where people were discussing whether Jennifer Love Hewitt was fat or not after she was snapped wearing a bikini at the beach. I thought she looked pretty damned good, but that’s neither here nor there, we’re all about the
hoodies!

I hadn’t heard of
Free City before, but I liked the look of this
hoodie when I spotted her wearing it on a gossip blog (yes, I’m a celeb addict, please pray for me). It has a kind of DIY look to it, with the way that the black ink looks as if its been laid on pretty heavily, and the simplicity appeals to me for some reason.I couldn’t actually find this specific hoodie on
Free City‘s flash-heavy and unintuitive website, but apparently they have quite a few retail locations, so if you’re in a big US city you might be in luck, otherwise it’s time to play the
eBay game (if you’re happy spending $200).

Yes, this post is pretty much just an excuse for me to post this tee model again, because she’s cute and I’m a smitten kitten (pun not intended, but left in the post because it was so terrible).
In fairness to Laurent, this is actually an excellently composed design, which I;m sure will suit those of you that want to goth up from time to time without having to go to all that trouble of actually looking like a goth.

For some reason, when I look at this
hoodie, the phrase “large and in charge” comes to mind. I have no idea why, it doesn’t even make sense, but I do think that it looks pretty damn cool, maybe the colours could do with popping a bit more, the brown and the burgundy seems a little bit subdued. Anyway, just thinking out loud here, is it conceivable that patterns like this that are used in streetwear are becoming the modern equivalent of tartan?
