Your Eyes Lie, the monochrome-loving makers of too-cool-for-school tees have dropped what they’ve described as a big update. No new designs as far as I can tell, but they’ve spruced up the site, and if you click at the bottom of their
homepage then you can see some rather sexy looking models… modeling the YEL Spring/Summer 08 range. It’s a lot nicer to see actual people wearing the tees rather than just the tee, I’m always far more inclined to be buy something if I can see it being worn, which is kind of odd since it usually detracts from the design.

I know I’ve mentioned a
hoodie very similar to this one in the past (
also from Squidfire) but it’s a style that I can dig and think that it looks good on a hoodie. Of course, I could never wear it, tiny things with wings freak me out. Big time.

Here’s my theory on geek t-shirts for girls. The design is pretty irrelevant, simply wearing one will ensure that hordes of geeky guys will flock around the wearer and ensure that they will have someone to spend quiet nights at 127.0.0.1 with playing World of Warcraft until the day they die, presumably of an electric shock after an incident where they “totally knew what they were doing”.
I ain’t raggin’ on this design though, it’s actually pretty ummm… cute?

Just a thought; does anyone make mixtapes for anyone nowadays? Mixtapes on cassettes? Everyone did that. CDs? Yup, and you could even make your own album art too. MP3s? Not so much. Does anyone remember romance?
Obey have a pretty good view from the top of the mountain when it comes to the streetwear world, and with good reason. I like the way that the print happily bounds across the zipper, and the black sits well on top of the heather grey, and I’m always a fan of a funnel neck on a track jacket. I’m not so sure about the bits on top of the shoulders though, what are they called? I get the feeling its something to do with flying or pilots?

Oh Spreadshirt, you hopeless bunch of romantics. I don’t know if me making a tee professing my love to a girl would really do the trick, but I’m sure there are some people willing to give it a go, and I’m sure that getting 14% off orders over $18 should help. The coupon code is LOVE308 in the US and CADLOVE308 in Canada. It will work from now until February 21st, which I guess means you can make up those “I can’t believe that bitch dumped me on Valentines Day” tees if your V-Day didn’t work out as planned.
As far as I can tell there’s no love for us Europeans, Spreadshirt must think that we’re already romantic enough as it is!
