Readers from back in the early days know I’m a big fan of The O.C., so when Toby from PDC dropped me a line to show off some pictures of
Mischa ‘hey, isn’t she kind of English?’ Barton throwing some admiring glances towards their designs at the Sundance Film Festival, I couldn’t help but let you guys check her out too, even if Marissa Cooper was pretty much my least favourite character. Also, did you know she was in Notting Hill? As a child, playing a child actor, I guess that must have really stretched her talents!*I forgot to mention that for a short period only, if you buy one tee from their store they will pick out a second one and send it too you for free!*

There’s a sad story behind this hoodie. The designers father, Richard T. Carleton, died recently aged 58 after a two year battle with lung cancer. In memory of his father, the designer has decided to make 58 hoodies with this design, with all the profits being donated to the American Cancer Society.
Getting away from the ’story’ behind the design, I do like the way that the lungs are on the inside of the hoodie, its a very interesting idea, and we all know how much I love seeing metallic foil on a design.

I know that some of you have a soft spot for technically illustrated designs, but how do you feel about designs based upon prototypes for amazing bicycles that could cause untold destruction?
Happy? I thought you might be. If I’m totally honest, I think that my favourite parts of this design aren’t the rear-mounted flamethrower, or the ninja-throwing stars, but actually the padded seat and non-slip pedal. It suggests that villains are looking for comfort and practicality when it comes to equipping their incompetent hench-men with a more environmentally friendly vehicle of doom.

I’m that kinda guy that loves sitting out in the cold looking up at the stars (ladies, that means I’m sensitive, form an orderly queue!), so its fair to say that I have a passing interest in the subject of space. People in space-suits though, I dunno, they seem a little small for me when I’m thinking about space, everything needs to be big up there, the ISS needs to be at least as a big as a Wal-Mart in my eyes.
The execution of this hoodie is pretty nice, I like the way that they’ve used a highly-contrasted image of an astronaut, and the way that its cut up works well, too.
