Graniph, the t-shirt company who have the rather prodigious honour of being the only shop I actually bought a t-shirt from last year (and it wasn’t even for me!), are following up on last years design competition with… well, another design competition. I know that t-shirt design competitions are ten a penny nowadays, but there’s something a bit special about Graniph, their t-shirts are amazing, and they’re Japanese, which we all know makes things cooler by a factor of about seven (seriously, have you seen the Beams T store in Harajuku?). Here’s the details:

Mohawk Hoodzie by Rock & Rattle

Mohawk Hoodzie by Rock and Rattle

I know that I pretty much never write about clothing for children, but I thought that this was too cool to ignore just because it would barely cover one of my arms (I’m a giant, don’t you know?).

Its pretty much a standard hoodie with a little logo on the left breast, but that dash of brightly coloured ‘hair’ running along the top of the hood is sure take your kid from ‘awww’ to ‘awwwwwwww’. One cool little aspect is that you actually get two interchangeable mohawks for the hoodie, red (pictured) and baby blue, I don’t know particularly why you’d want to change them (we’re at war, pick a side!), but I never stand in the way of people having more choice.

Costiness=$46 (seems quite high for something that they’ll grow out of, is it?) Link [via Stylehive]

anonymous New tees from Cotton Factory

Remember those protests last week when people put Guy Fawkes masks on and had funny signs protesting Scientology (ha, as if you need that link)? Yeah, it was kinda weird, but I did think it was about damn time that someone finally took a stand… and copied V for Vendetta when protesting, seriously, how did it take this long?

daydream harvester tee by Cotton Factory

This tee has no political or religious statement to make, as far as I can tell, its ‘just’ a well designed and executed tee with a slightly trippy concept behind it. I know which of the two I’d rather have in my wardrobe, but they’ve both got their attractive qualities.

Ce Soir by Insight @ Karmaloop

Ce Soir by Insight @ Karmaloop

I actually met a guy from Insight during my trip to London, and I was impressed with what I saw, then a few days later I spotted a new range of Insight gear available at Karmaloop. I didn’t really get much info from Insight (some great stickers though!), so I won’t be doing a follow-up brand profile, but you can expect to see more of them in the future.

I seem to be on a bit of a black and white kick at the moment, don’t I?
