HYA is going to Hong Kong!

Hong Kong skyline by Steve Webel

Yeah, bet you didn’t expect to see that title on a HYA post!

I managed to get a great deal and will be heading off on Friday morning, I’m going to try and write up enough posts before I go so that there will be something new every day, but I can’t guarantee that will actually happen as I am often a lazy, lazy man.

Apparently, my hotel in HK has free wifi, so if you really need to get in contact with me I should be contactable by e-mail, and if you want to keep tabs on my travels (I can practically guarantee pictures of me eating unidentifiable meat!) then check out my personal blog.

Alcott Hoodie by Mike & chris @ Rare Chic

Despite being incredibly simple, I like this hoodie, although not enough to justify the the high price tag:

Another phenomenal hoodie by Mike & Chris. Incredibly soft grey fleece with a contrasting sulfur green stripe across the chest. Welt pockets and gold tone hardware. 80% Cotton, 20% Polyester. Running true to size.

Whilst I don’t really have any particular reason to believe it, looking at the hoodie closely I get the feeling that this is a pretty high-quality piece (hey, they describe it as both ‘phenomenal’ and ‘incredible’, so it must be good!). Oh, and I wonder if they realise that ’sulfur green’ actually just looks ‘kinda yellow’.

A New Idea by sirbeauris @ Design By Humans

One of my pet peeves about the green movement is that its all a bit in your face or ecotistical, so to find a tee that both supports the little changes that everyone can make, and is pretty funny is really refreshing.

Do you think that when you have an idea using a CFL bulb it takes slightly longer to dawn on you and is slightly less cool?

Dr. Doom by Sneaktip @ Karmaloop

I’ve got an old French Connection windbreaker (80% off, bargain!) that’s called Dr. Doom, I think they called it that because it has a bit of a Dr. Evil thing going on, and that was what first drew me to this hoodie. The Sneaktip logo across the chest on the front almost pushed me away from it, but the design on the back (pictured, obviously) is just about good enough to make worthwhile.

Rumplo: Am I doomed?

I’m scared, and its all because of Rumplo!

Well, not too scared, you guys come here for the commentary as well as the clothing finds, right?

Rumplo is a website that I think can be best described as what would happen if Notcot got married to Emptees, had a kid, and gave it a web startup friendly name. Basically, people submit tees, people fave tees, people comment on tees, and it all looks very pretty. There’s only two pages of shirts so far but I think that the quality level has been set already, and hopefully it won’t be overrun by t-entrepreneur’s spamming submitting with their own designs.
