Super 7 Day Lazy Oaf Sale Pop Up Shop in London!

Lazy Oaf are opening a pop-up shop (which seem to be all the rage nowadays) on Ganton Street, London, whilst they give their regular shop at Kingly Court a makeover. I visited the Kingly Court shop during my recent trip to London, but didn’t have the balls to introduce myself since they probably wouldn’t have known who I was. Which would have been awkward.

Anyway, I was very impressed with the quality level when I went, and can now wholeheartedly recommend them based upon experience rather than my usual standard of ‘it looks cool so it probably is cool’. Here’s the deets about the temporary store:

This will be no normal shop though- Oh no! This is our super dooper bargainous sale extravaganza pop-up shop where you will most certainly be overcome by cheap thrills galore!

Most of the tees will be priced at £10 or …wait for it… 3 t-shirts for a teeny tiny amount of £20. Lovely.

Sweatshirts will be reduced down to £20 and polo-shirts, £15. Mmmm, nice.

So, everything MUST go, as we need to make room for lots more yummy stuff when the brand new, fresh and spangly shop re-opens. WE CANNOT WAIT!

The sale shop opens at Number 2, Ganton Street (see map) on Saturday 8th March at 12 noon for 7 days, 11am-7pm. See you there with your purse, ready for frenzied shopping!

This is an in-store sale only, because of a recent web sale they had, which I may or may not have remembered to post about.

In their blurb this hoodie is described as the “ultimate summer hoodie, lightweight and shear accented with bird motifs and Swarovski crystals, will lift your spirits on even the coolest summer night.” For most readers I’m sure that summer still feels quite a long way away, but there’s nothing wrong with being well prepared and picking up a hoodie when it is 50% off.

It was the swarovski crystals that sold it for me really, they’re a real button pusher for me at the moment.

Of Salad and Friends by Glarkware

Let’s file this under ‘I’m really sorry I didn’t post this one earlier’, because I’m afraid that it was a limited edition pre-order (until Feb. 29th) and won’t be going on general sale, so we’ve all missed our chance. I thought it was still worth a look, even if it was just so that I could evoke a few Simpsons memories for you guys (conga line!). But hey, at least we get the treat of Glarkware’s typically enjoyable blurbage:

Planning the menu for a dinner party these days is like walking through a minefield. Chances are that your guest list will include someone with severe food allergies; someone on an exotically restricted diet; a vegetarian; a vegan; someone who only eats raw; someone who only eats organic; and someone who keeps kosher. The odds that everyone will be able to partake of every dish are extremely slim. But lest you try to please the entire group with one lowest-common-denominator meal, don’t forget: you don’t win friends with salad.

Emo by csj89 @ DBH

emo t-shirt by csj89 @ Design By Humans

I remember when emo kids used to dress in all black, with a bit more black on the side, and spent their days staring glumly at the floor. Nowadays they’re all about the crazy-haircuts and dressing in neon. Whatever happened to emo kids actually being emo?

Well, that intro certainly made me feel old, but csj89 (the tees designer) has helpfully explained in tag cloud form exactly what emo is today:

emu bird, blade, chucks, black square rimmed glasses, finding fish, skate shoes, familiar puppet, skulls, crying, pills, social networks, makeup, nailpolish, tear, eyeshadow, guyliner, guitar, broken hearts, vinyl, piercings, mascara, stab, online journals, bleed, old school video games, butterflies, girly jeans, poetry, diary, roses, and rainbows.

Got it, cool, now there’s no need to people to post in forums about what emo is. Funnily enough, I wouldn’t think of this tee as emo, which was probably the point, its funny, its irreverent, and most importantly, it lets us know that razor blades are fun, and that’s a message we can all get behind.
