On a slightly related point, I wore this tee on Friday night and told all my friends that I'd buy a drink for whoever was the first to guess what the quote referred to, but not one of them had a clue (we're English though, so its kind of to be expected, but none of them thought it was a political tee either). As for the message, it's a little ambiguous and could refer to almost any group. Surely it would be better to read "We are the people you've been waiting for"?
