Lazy Oaf reopened their Kingly Court store a few days ago, as you can see it looks rather swish, a definite improvement on the store I visited during my Margin trip.
If you’re a Londoner, or just in the area (Kingly Court is located on/just off Carnaby Street), check them out, tell them Andy from HYA sent ya, they’ll have no idea who you’re talking about, but still, tell ‘em.
If you’re not in the area, check out this blog post and be sad that you didn’t have a chance to get in on the beardy festivities of the re-opening.

Whilst its pretty safe to assume that a Gas Works isn’t the first place that someone would look for artistic inspiration, Carmacazzi has actually produced something pretty cool from a somewhat surprising source.

GasWorks, Seattle’s lake union park. During the turn of the century this beautiful factory refined oil and now is refined art. I added the hidden “Seattle” ..represent. Featuring five hand screened prints the works wrap front to back and an abstracted “gasworks” text up the sleeve onto the shoulder.
Hold up, the gas works refined oil? That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, or are we talking about American ‘gas’ as in petrol? Still, it looks cool, and the hoodie itself is environmentally conscious, so its all good.

Y’know that Clive Owen film, Children of Men? There’s a line in it where someone says something along the lines of “when you have a ringing in your ears its that particular frequency dying and you’ll never hear it again,” is that true? If so, I am a bit nervous, because my ears rang for literally two days after a particular heavy night in a particularly loud club in Manchester.
Still, I’m not going to let going deaf get in the way of my love for loud, repetitive beats in crowded, overpriced clubs which have an airport style metal detector at the entrance and bouncers wearing stab-proof vests. And presumably Pistache Clothing share that love for loud noises with all the gear they’ve got stacked up on this tee. It reminds me of one of my first ever reviews, in terms of both style and substance, and I still like that tee, so this one’s alright in my book.

To be honest, ‘pornflock’ is one of the least attractive words that I’ve heard in a long time, and I spent my weekend with a guy that spends his time making up words that have Xs in them “because we like Xs,” so clearly I am in a pretty good position to judge whether a word is attractive or not.
PornFlock or not, it certainly is a really cool way to add a bit of texture to an all over pattern, creating some interesting without making things too ‘in your face’. The custom Money logo zipper is a nice touch too.

Okay, at the time of writing this posting, there’s no mention of the new line on the
Methods NYC site, but hopefully when this post goes live at 4AM GMT when I’m tucked up in bed dreaming about wonderful t-shirts and
hoodies, it will all be on there for you to get your e-grubby, e-hands on. Hopefully. If not, the totally awesome image above has surely whetted your appetite to check the site out when the new line does become available. If you fancy another tease,
here’s the spring catalogue in jpeg form, but be warned, its a massive image (about 12,000 pixels tall).
