Axid, the Bangkok-based company who really do make some rather wonderful t-shirts, have got a
sale going on at the moment in which everything in their store is just $15. I don’t know when this started and I don’t know when it ends, but I’m going to presume the answers to those questions are ‘some time ago’ and ‘soon’.

I could yak on for a couple of paragraphs about this hoodie, but they’ve done a good job with the blurb, so I’ll let them take it from here:
In case you don’t know it, horizontal stripes are an old school sailor thing. Men swabbed decks, shouted out whales, and had on-board barefisted boxing tournaments in these stripes. So we used them on a hoodie along with a Sailor Jerry clipper ship. You could leave your balls at home and still be a man when you wear this hoodie.
“Leave your balls at home and still be a man,” that’s what I like about small brands, they can get away with saying the things that larger brands wouldn’t dare.

I like the whole ‘hand of God’ style that is going on with this tee, the way that the brush appears to come out of nowhere and just puts a splash of colour down onto the shirt. Foreign Family’s signature marks of hand-drawn illustrations work well and the fade on the paint splash is pretty damned nice too.

Over last week I spent quite a lot of my time on ticket websites (including ticketmaster, which appears to do everything it can to discourage a customer from being able to use their website) trying to get a day ticket (at a cost of around $140) to see Rage Against the Machine at the Leeds Festival. But they sold out very quickly, computer systems were down, and ticket touts were out in full force. I was actually raging against my laptop machine trying to get tickets for Rage Against the Machine. Oh the freakin’ irony.
All of that left me with the need for a tee with angry people on it with a message of hope, and I thought that this tee by Alphanumeric fit the bill. They’ve made quite a few tees in this style (strong type with a repeated message above a large newspaper print style image) and this example is another good example of it.

Each week
BustedTees will be putting 12 tees form their store onto a
sale page and those tees will be $12 a pop. At the end of the week the selection gets changed and the whole dance begins again. Pretty sweet deal, though I’m sure that 5 for $5 would have been more popular!
BustedTees [thanks, Katrina, you most surely do rock!]
