Series 5: Robot Rebellion from Ten Bills

So, I write about robot tees months ago and all of a sudden everyone is selling them. I’m not saying that I’m a barometer of style, but… okay, that’s exactly what I’m saying, I can’t wait to see what design trend I cause next!*

Ten Bills are back (even though they barely went away) with their fifth series, title Robot Rebellion, and its a really strong set of releases. What I like about Ten Bills is that they don’t necessarily stick to one certain style set, which I guess is fairly natural since they have a few artists, but it is still pretty easy for brands like Ten Bills falling into a safe routine of releasing tees that look similar in style, so I applaud them for avoiding that. My personal fave from this bunch? Blazin’ Glory on Forest Green by Bobby Liquori (4th from the left in the above pic).

Smile Big Hoodie by Touma @ eno

I’ve clearly gone a bit Asian with today’s product picks, first a tee from Hong Kong, and now a hoodie from a store in mainland China. This hoodie totally reminds me of the infamous Shark hoodie by A Bathing Ape, except happy rather than angry, and not a shark… so basically the only connection is that these two hoodies have a zip which goes all the way over your face, and a printed face on it. Meh, that’s still a connection!

Black T-shirt by PHLow

I spotted this Hong Kong-based brand on Flickr a few months ago and forgot to post about them for some reason. I realise now what that reason might be, I don’t know how you actually buy the stuff. I’ve found their website, but I can’t work out anything past that, and not just because I can’t read Cantonese (I have a phrasebook, but that’s of no help as I’m not asking them where a restaurant is). Even by clicking around I can’t really achieve anything, so if you can work it out then I’d appreciate someone making a comment, but if not, just enjoy the pictures.

The Totally Radical white t-shirt by Obey @ Karmaloop

I once tried to bring back some words from the 80s into the regular chatter of my circle friends a while back, but it turns out that saying ‘radical’ when you mean that something was ‘good’ wasn’t a radical idea back then and it still isn’t particularly radical. Needless to say, I failed in my mission.

Glennz: 3 new designs

Team Photo by Glennz

I neglected to tell you about Glenn Jones’ (better known as Glennz, who has had many tees printed by Threadless) new tee store a few weeks ago when everyone else was mentioning it. It’s not that I don’t like the designs, I just forgot to do it, but hopefully I can make it up to you by posting about the three newest designs that went on sale at his store a couple of days ago.
Haunted Housework by Glennz After Hours by Glennz

My fave is ‘Team Photo‘, it suits Glennz style really well, ‘Haunted Housework‘ is pretty funny and works well as a tee since there’s still a lot of people out there that love Ghostbusters, but I’m not really a big fan of ‘After Hours‘, possibly because I’m more of a pirate person than ninja person, though the image is pretty funny.

I wouldn’t usually post a coupon from Spreadshirt since they seem to have a new one coming out every couple of days for various promotions, but I was a bit keen to keep up this run of posting coupons that give you 15% off, so here it is!

Here’s the Spreadshirt blog post about the coupon code [note: I think it might be US/Canada only, but probably worth a go for Europeans too]
