A blog about hoodies & t-shirts

Hmmm… the mighty strawberry are trying to tell us something, but have hidden it within some kind of impenetrable code:

Tomorrow -> August 2nd -> voucher code -> LFSALES08 -> -25% -> even on the 11 or 17 Euro shirts.

Can anyone work it out? It’s like an enigma, trapped in a riddle, surrounded my a mystery (I wonder if Winston Churchill ever thought that his description of Russia would ever be used to descirbe a t-shirt sale).

I feel a bit guilty for posting this since the pic is ‘all rights reserved’, but not only is it a cool t-shirt, its also a really cool picture (hopefully the compliments will keep Superlocal from asking me from removing the pic). I can’t imagine myself wanting to go on the tube in London in just a pair of flip flops, so I guess the trains in Seoul must be pretty darned clean.I’ve had a little hunt around the net and can’t turn up the tee, but I like the way that the designer has player around with the text on the top and kept the figure at the bottom plain. The colourway works pretty well too.Photo credit: devil? 51% by Superlocal

Allmightys are impressing me more and more these days, and its releases like these that are part of the reason behind that. One of the other reasons is that they seem to really be focused on giving their artists a great deal. I’m not saying that other design competitions are doing that, but I actually believe them when they say that:

…every time you order you are also supporting the artist. All allmightys designers recieve commissions from sales and not only that but some tees also include donations to charities! At Allmightys, everybody wins!

jcsummer08releaseflyerku0 Johnny Cupcakes Summer Releases coming this Saturday in Boston

Straight from the J-man himself:

I’m releasing 15-20 or so, fresh out of the oven, new t-shirt designs in my Boston, Newbury Street shop THIS SATURDAY June 21st at 3pm.

Also, there will be 2 in store exclusives that you can only get in Boston. One of the in store exclusive shirts is going to be numbered up to 100. Once that one design is gone, it will be gone forever. First come, first serve. I already know that some die hard people will be camping out for this Saturday’s release, starting tonight(seriously). So get there early if you want to own one of the numbered, limited edition, exclusive shirt(s).

See you there THIS SATURDAY!

***Oh Yeah, FREE real cupcakes and Fiji Water with every purchase.

It’s about time they offered some real cupcakes for a change, now people who don’t know what JC is won’t feel so embarrassed when they walk into a store called Johnny Cupcakes and actually expecting there to be baked treats in there.

brc2 Popdeck x Black Rock Collective skate deck

I know this has little (pretty much nothing) to do with t-shirts but I thought it was worth a mention anyway. The Black Rock Collective (aka the Legion of Doom), who in the past have produced some incredible designs for Threadless and Design By Humans, and now they’ve put together another collaborative and multi-charactered design for Popdeck, the skateboard deck design competition. I hope I’m not shooting myself in the foot by posting this, since I’m wrestling with the prospect of paying $32 to have the $40 deck shipped to the UK, and I’m worried that it might sell out, so me promoting it shows just how much I like you guys, putting you ahead of my own selfish needs.Popdeck x Black Rock Collective Skate Deck (currently on pre-order, ships on the 22nd)

Glennz: starship in a bottle

This is one of those designs where I really like the concept, style, and actual image, but I can’t see myself wearing it on a t-shirt. I guess its lucky for me then that this design is also available as a poster, huzzah. I’d be willing to guess that Star Trek fans would think it was pretty cool though. Oh, and since it seems like a Star Trek thing to mention, there was an episode (stardate:46424.1, seriously) of Star Trek: The Next Generation called ‘Ship in a Bottle’, I know that doesn’t mean anything to this discussion, but I thought it was funny that it shows up on the first page of google when you search for ship in a bottle.Costiness=$19.95 Link
