A blog about hoodies & t-shirts

new-tshirt21-480x262 What was new at Ten Bills?

I got an e-mail through from TenBills letting me know about some updates to their site and asking what I thought about them. Since I’m trying to keep things succinct nowadays (I’m writing this post in between preparing a loin of bacon wrapped in bacon and going on the hunt for some more chairs for the dinner table), here’s my thoughts:

The shirts are $10 and look awesome, one of the latest designs even features robots. Awesome, go look.

Damn, that was much quicker, maybe I should put a limit on the amount of words I’m allowed to use in every post.

I don’t know when HYA turned into Halloween outfit/t-shirt/sale central, but I thought that these tees were too funny to pass up.

Here’s Fred Flare’s Halloween selection

hersh347 The Quiet Life: Sale & New Design

See I told you I might have to start copy/pasting!

1. SALE!
We’re having a major “end of summer”/ “back to school” / “economic bailout”
sale to help make some room before our next batch of designs show up.
Take a look. Sizes are limited. http://www.thequietlife.com

2. GOOD CAUSE CHARITY T-SHIRT - NEW DESIGN!
A new “Good Cause” charity t-shirt is now available in our online web store.
This season we decided to dedicate our best-selling Fall 08 design - “Sphinx”-
to the cause. http://www.thequietlife.com/ql_store2.htm

“Good Cause” is a continuing program of The Quiet Life’s,
where 100% of our profits from the sales of “Good Cause” shirts will
be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation ( http://www.cff.org ).
So it’s a win-win. You get a good design and at the same time help
generate a donation for the CF Foundation. Last season we were able
to donate $6,800 to the foundation - thanks to your support.

Keep an eye out for our entire Fall/Holiday 08 line coming soon…

Rebel Rock by Chop Shop

2914091632_6dc3f9a7c2-480x480 Rebel Rock by Chop Shop

Chop Shop seem to have got in the habit of releasing tees covered in collections of famous people, rock stars, robots, aliens, internet memes, and cars from television and movies. I guess that tees like that are like normal pop culture reference tees on steroids. This particular tee features “31 classic rock, punk and post-punk celebrities whose stars burnt brightest from 1972-1982. Tougher than the last… we believe you will never figure them all.”

Happy Birthday to me!

PICT9485

Yes, yes, once again the International Day of Andy has rolled around, how are you going to be celebrating it? (Me, I’m cooking dinner for friends then we’re going to play with miracle berries)

This post isn’t just to congratulate myself on simply managing to be alive, I thought I’d better give you a heads up on what will be happening with HYA over the next month. Long-time readers will be aware that for the past two years I’ve spent a month living and working in the south of France (here, specifically, jealous?), and this year is no exception. That means that from next Wednesday onwards the regular posting schedule will be disrupted, so you can probably wave goodbye to the peak output of 8 posts a day for the foreseeable future. I might also have to cut down the amount I write and just start copy/pasting press releases so that even if you aren’t getting my commentary at least you’re getting all the info, pictures, and links for the latest and greatest clothing companies that are coming onto the scene, as well as keeping up with our old friends.

amorphia-banner 20% off at Amorphia Apparel for Halloween

Yep, even more Halloween related goodness is coming our way. Amorphia Apparel are offering you 20% off your order, as long as you place your order before the end of the month, and as long as the order is for more than $30. Simplement!

The sale applies to the whole Amorphia range, which includes Amorphia Apparel (duh!), Wear Science!, and Teach the Controversy. To get the discount, just use the coupon code FALL28 at the checkout.

MySoti Launches… no, really

mysoti_mw MySoti Launches... no, really

It’s been a pretty long time coming, but the team behind Bountee have finally launched the latest iteration of their t-shirt/poster/canvas/loads more stuff in the future… platform and it is mighty impressive. It’s their first day, so the servers are getting hammered at the moment which is slowing up load times a bit, but there’s still a lot of good stuff going on at the site, as the tee deisgns above show pretty clearly.

Oh, and for those of you that are wondering, MySoti stands for “My Stuff On The Internet,” clever, right?

What’s new at Scribtee?

The Scribtee crew have dropped three designs, all of which are printed on American Apparel tees as usual; one by Aliadotony (the grey one), one by Ninhol (the white one), and one by Attilla “Ilja” from Berlin (the black face tattoo one). I’d say that my favourite of the bunch is Favela (the white one), all the pretty colours make me stop thinking about how crappier places they are to live!
