RedBubble team up with Demo for a really cool competition

by Andy on October 23, 2008

RedBubble, who’re a print on demand company that have a lot of great artists uploading designs there, have teamed up with one of my favourite London clothes shops, Demo, to put some tee designs from their site into Demo’s excellent store.

Click through for all the details.

The Challenge
Hello t-shirt designers. We’re calling from a phone booth just off London’s Carnaby Street and we can’t chat for long as there’s a suspicious odour in here. So cutting to the chase, how would you like the chance to get your t-shirt design in a shop window by one of London’s most iconic shopping strips? Well the legends at indie streetwear store Demo are giving RB t-shirt designers the chance to take your graphics to the streets of London.

Your theme is London Calling, two words to inspire thoughts of the artistic side of the city, from gritty urban streets and subversive graffiti to grandiose architecture, centuries of history and everything in between.

So put down your spoon and pick up your pens, pencils, markers and mice and get designing.

Head here for more photos and info on the store.

Judging / Voting Criteria
Your valuable votes should go to those designs that stir thoughts of the great metropolis, from d-face strewn alleyways to rebellious ‘70s musicians. Entry is open to clothing works only, if you can’t wear it, it’s not coming in.
Entry is open to all members of RedBubble. If you are not already a member of RedBubble then join now to enter.
Only one colour and style version of the shirt, and a cross section of sizes, will be purchased and made available in the store, therefore it is preferable to design specifically to suit one colour shirt and style.

Rewards & Prizes
The grand prize winner will have 30 of the winning shirt purchased off them at a markup of 30%, and have their tee displayed in the store for two weeks, with a special temporary front window display for all the passers by to gawp at. Two runners up will have 20 shirts purchased off them at a markup of 30%, and have their tee displayed in the store for two weeks.
All your artist details will be included and advertised with the shirts, so shoppers can read all about you. And we’ll post about the occasion with photos and a write up on RedBubble.
