Monster Boogie by Stereopanda

16 320x640 Monster Boogie by Stereopanda

I like the look of where this series of tees is going, they look damn bold and I like that. As the picture says, if you e-mail them saying what you think the next monster in the series is going to be, there’s a chance that you could infact win that tee.

ohsnap lg thumb 480x480 Rizzo Tees Funny designs that are actually pretty original (and a coupon code)

Am I the only person that hates it when you check out a ‘funny’ tee store and they all have the same basic designs with very small alterations, like they looked at Busted Tees and just wondered what they could do which wouldn’t infringe on the copyright?

Thankfully, Rizzo Tees seem to have actually thought up the jokes themselves (gasp!), and whilst they don’t have me loll-ing (laughing out loud, literally), they don’t suck, which is about as good as you’ll get from me since I don’t consider myself a fan of the funny tee genre. It would be quite nice if we could see what the designs look like on an actual tee too, I think that’s pretty much a must in any tee store.

You can get 20% off everything in the store by using the coupon code G29FK2R2 up until the end of the year.

xokvol 479x354 xok are AOK in my books (and on sale too)

It’s always nice to first hear about a brand when they’ve got their entire catalogue on sale, as xok clothing do, it feels as if you’re getting a kind of introductory bonus. Here’s xok’s blurb:

xok Clothing is made by music fans, for music fans. Music is our passion. After years of taking from the music scene, we wanted to give something back. That’s why we formed xok Clothing. We want to provide our friends and friends-to-be with clothing that represents who they are and where they came from, at affordable prices.

So, there you go. The tees and hoodies are much like birds, because they go “cheap, cheap, cheap” as you can pick up a shirt for $5 to $10 and a hoodie for $20 to $25.

mg 4412 District Wool Blazer by Brooklyn Industries

I like blazers/jackets, they make me feel classy. I’ve never been too crazy about wool blazers before, but this one certainly turned my head, and the pocket-watch print on the inside pocket is a nice touch (peep the gallery for that).

Big Sale at Urban Retro

by Andy on November 6, 2008

sale block 05112008 1 480x184 Big Sale at Urban Retro

Its not just the men’s clothing that’s on sale, practically everything else in their store (gelaskins, vinyl toys, arty stuff) has been reduced in price. I’m not sure when this is going to end, so its probably best not to dawdle on this one.

The obligatory Barack Obama post

by Andy on November 6, 2008

new management gray 480x480 The obligatory Barack Obama post

I stayed up all last night watching the historic events unfold across the Atlantic, even if it meant that I didn’t eventually get to bed after 6:30am French time, but it was very much worth it to hear Obama’s first speech as President elect of the United States of America.

This design has been doing the rounds today, and with good reason. The tee is by Print Liberation, a group that have a knack of producing tees that manage to look both retro-inspired and really fresh at the same time. Also, I feel like their tees are the kind that just look good when you’re wearing them, and that they can be matched up with pretty much anything.

Say Hello to Children

November 6, 2008

CHILDREN was founded by Rob Flate, a DJ and artist born and raised in LA. The name CHILDREN represents expansion, growth and change. There’s a new street culture where the lines between peoples’ styles, musical tastes and artistic sensibilities have blurred. CHILDREN is designed to celebrate that growth while keeping a foot planted in the [...]

Ou est le404shop?

November 6, 2008

I think its pretty odd that my time in France (which is coming to an end in a couple of days) has coincided with quite a lot of French stores e-mailing me to let me know they exist, I’d hoped that I could write about French stores whilst I was here, but I didn’t realise [...]
