Here is the last of the three tees that
Chateau Roux sent me a month or so ago. If you’re wondering why I haven’t yet mentioned their packaging, its because I have deemed it nice enough to have a post dedicated purely to the packaging, which will be coming up sometime in the near future, unless I forget, in which case it just probably won’t turn up.

As you can probably tell from the text on the te, this design is from the ‘self harm’ range that has been getting the Chateau Roux crew into a little trouble lately. The name of the range does not refer to people that unfortunately decide that cutting themselves is the only way to get some control in their life, instead, it just means that the buyer can take the DIY approach to giving these tees a bit of roughed up action with a piece of sand paper (also known as ‘glass paper’, as I learned in France) that is supplied with each tee. I still haven’t dared attack the tee, but that’s because I’ve got no balls and even less talent, so I’m afraid of ruining a very nice shirt, but its still a very cool concept, and they’ve clearly created each design with destroying them in mind.

As always, the quality level is exceptional, I know that they spent a long time in their early days sourcing and creating a tee that they felt was just right, and I think they can be justifiably proud of their quality level. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to do it considerable damage with some sandpaper and whatever other implement you can find in your house to truly make your tee unique.

I’m pretty sure I’d look like a bit of a tool if I wore this since I don’t think anyone would believe I like crunk, but it is still a damn fine illustration, and a damn fine tee, so much so that it was Emptees
tee of the day yesterday.
It should be noted that this tee is on pre-order sale, hopefully shipping in early-ish December, and that you can get a discount with the code cereal, but I don’t know what or how much that discount is.

Thuderfrogs, the British-based blog that seems to be increasing neglecting the horse-y part of its “t-shirts and horse racing niche”, is one year old, and what do you do on your birthday? Give away presents, of couse! Wait, what?
All you have to do to stand a chance of winning a tee of your choice from both Color Overload and Found Item Clothing is go over to the competition page on Thunderfrogs to find out what the almost insultingly easy question is and e-mail in your answer before the competition closes on November 28th. There will be two winners, so your odd of winning just got doubled!

It’s nice to see someone trying to design a tee that is all about New York without having any reference to the iconic ‘I [heart]…’ design.
Twon continues the NYC loves throughout their latest range, the best word I can think of to describe it with is ‘fresh’, check out the gallery (in which they take a swipe at the ‘I’m not a plastic bag’ crowd) and see if you agree.

Ink Hound hit their second week with a release from a couple of designers you should be pretty familiar with,
J3concepts and
Wotto. The tee is Wotto’s (as if you couldn’t tell), and the hat is by J3 (as if you couldn’t tell). They were actually rocking a half price
sale last week which I forgot to tell you about, but they’re hardly breaking the bank this week with their ‘full’ prices of $12 for a tee ($14 for organic), $16 for a hat, and $30 for a
hoodie.
You’ve got until Tuesday next week to pick them up, because after that, they’re gone.
