xmas 480x430 Concrete Hermits Christmas Bonanza

Here’s the details:

Just to let you know we’ve got a Christmas Bonanza here on Sunday December 7th from 11-6pm where we will also have Lazy Oaf, Peep Show and Garudio Studiage selling prints, jewellery and other gifts as well as mulled wine and special offers on some of our products, as well as a Print Sale this coming Thursday December 4th 6-9pm to coincide with the First Thursdays event. We’ll have our entire print collection out of the drawers and up for grabs, with work by Ian Stevenson, Jon Burgerman, Anthony Burrill and lots more.

Please note that this is an instore event, I don’t believe it will be replicated online, especially the part about mulled wine.

MarkerTees – Warning: never get drunk wearing this

by Andy on December 3, 2008

markertees4 MarkerTees Warning: never get drunk wearing this

The first thing that I thought when I saw this range of tees with a re-writable chest-panel was that if I were to wear this, had a few beers, vodkas, ciders, and some wine (it was a big weekend), I would almost certainly end up with my friends declaring my love for Ricky Martin through the medium of the t-shirt.

Dammit I need to get new friends.

Seriously though, it’s a fairly clever idea, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen something similar before, despite their claims of originality, but I quite like it. I do wonder how somethning like this stands up to the washing cycle though.

I almost forgot to mention this, but the winner of the recent ‘What Rocks‘ competition is my fellow tee blogger Rude Retro, who was the the person picked by the random number generator at Random.org. Enjoy your $25 gift certificate!

Thanks once again to Split Reason for so generously continuing to sponsor contests on HYA, and also thanks to everyone for taking part, I’ve been checking out a few of the band recommendations and you know what? You guys have pretty good taste!

The Quiet Life’s Fall/Holiday collection ‘08

03.12.2008

Considering that The Quiet Life is actually a camera club, they do a very good impression of a clothing label. I really, really, like the hoodie posted above, there’s quite a lot going on but it isn’t too crazy at the same time. There’s lots more good stuff going on in the gallery, too.
Oh, and [...]

Cupcake Heart Hoodie by Lipstick Prophets

03.12.2008

I think I might have neglected to write about a hoodie for a few days what with the madness of the Black Friday deals, Hide Your Arms deciding it didn’t want to upload any photos or save posts, and me not going to Philly (it’s looking like I’ll be there in the New Year now), [...]

Say Hello to Heartcore Clothing

03.12.2008

I can’t believed I haven’t mentioned Jimmy Heartcore’s Heartcore Clothing before, but I guess that the old adage of better late than never rings true in this case. The designs tend to have a lot of guts in them, but curiously they aren’t gory, they’re actually kinda cute. That just felt like a very odd [...]
