EIO sent over their latest ad for me to put up on the site, and I figured that to make sure everyone (such as the people that read HYA through a feed reader) saw this promo, I’d post it on the site rather than just putting up the ad.
This isn’t one of those crappy sale where you’re inevitably disappointed at the savings, you actually can find items with 70% off them. I got an e-mail from a UK design shop earlier today with claimed savings of 75% off, but even in their own e-mail, they were promoting a £14 mug which had been reduced to £13… lame!
The sale is only on for a few more days, so maybe you should open your wallet whilst the site is loading to ensure you save a couple of seconds during the checkout.

Ahhh Chunk, are you ever going to stop subverting pop culture icons from my childhood?
Considering I would consider myself a fan of Chunk’s cheeky designs, I’m not particularly wowed by this latest collection that have become available at Urban Retro, something about their execution doesn’t seem quite right, but the concepts are all pretty solid.

I know it’s very unusual for me to post the splash page graphic from a website rather than, I dunno, something you can actually buy or wear (you need to look in the gallery for those), but when someone goes to the bother of making an 8-bit version of Wheel Of Fotune I think that it deserves some attention!
Nakatomi Inc. (whose name may not be inspired by Die Hard, but it was the first thing that popped into my head) are a relatively new company who, after doing the usual tee thing for a while, have kicked off their ‘Invitational Series’, in which they invite an artist each month such as Paul Pope, Tyler Stout, Jon Vermilyea, Jermaine Rodgers and Mark Todd to design a t-shirt and accompanying poster for their line. I admire them for trying something different, but obviously it doesn’t mean a thing if the tees blow, and whilst there are a couple of tees that I don’t care for, I can see how they’d appeal to other people, so I’m not going to be too harsh on them.
One really cool thing about their other, non “comes with a poster” line, titled Video Werewolf, which pretty much puts shutter shades on legendary characters from horror movies, is that the t-shirts are shipped in Beta Tape boxes, it doesn’t get much more retro than that!

I wrote about
Medicated Clothing back in August, and to be honest I haven’t seen or heard anything from them since, so it was a good thing that
Steve at OMG Tees posted about this beauty back in November (yep, I waded deep into my bookmarks for this post!).
You don’t see too many tees like this nowadays, this style used to be all the rage back in 2005, and I’m happy to see it making an appearance as we get towards the top end of the decade.
