streetwear-t-shirt-shop-a-better-tomorrow_1251735799934

It’s fair to say that Dale Edwin Murray is quickly becoming one of the better known names in the t-shirt design competition world, even though he hasn’t been submitting to them for all that long, I remember getting an e-mail from an excited Dale last year about his first Threadless win (currently sold out). This latest winner shows off Dale’s unique style of character design (see this design at Tilteed for another example) and has a totally sweet colourway to boot.

Costiness=€22 (€26 after this week) Available from A Better Tomorrow

uneetee-backtoschoolsale

It’s not immediately obvious when this sale will be ending at Uneetee, so if you find something you like in store it might be a good idea to pick it up sooner rather than later.

I think that this is the kind of tee that you can only buy when your wardrobe is already overflowing with tees, luckily I’m that kind of guy, so I can grant myself permission to buy this tee… now if only I ever bought t-shirts…

Sale time at Suburban Hijinx

by Andy on August 27, 2009

storetopbanner

With tees as low as $5 (for their logo tee), and the most ‘expensive’ being a paltry $10 you’d expect that the sizes would be pretty limited, but there’s actually a full range of sizes for most of the tees. The full range of designs can be found in the gallery… or you can just click through and you’ll see them all there.

Guilty Pleasures by Wotto at Tilteed

by Andy on August 27, 2009

guilty-pleasures-tilteedcom-get-dressed_1251317828820

What what? Is that a Wotto? Why yes, yes it is. You’ve got about 18 hours to pick up this collage print at the early price of $12 before it goes up to $18, which is still a pretty good deal (I’ve got a couple of Tilteed tees and I’m impressed by the quality of the in-house printing). Here’s a few words from wotto about the design.

Most people know I have developed a reputation for doodle shirts. I have had quite a few printed and a lot of people ask for them. Well with this design I wanted to do a darker doodle. I actually did three designs based around the same dark idea, (I seem to work in sets for some reason). Anyway, I was working with the idea of death and how if comes to us all. So why not enjoy a guilty pleasure or two before we depart?

Who wants a coupon for 10% off at Jedidiah?

by Andy on August 27, 2009

misc_header2_lgh

Jedidiah, who I know make some excellent hoodies, and their tees look pretty tasty too, currently have an active coupon for 10% everything in the store. Just input the coupon code streetteam09 at the checkout and you’ll receive the discount, without being a member of their street team.

Aside from the clothes, Jedidiah like to share the wealth, and so far they have given over $250,000 to the non-profit organisations that they support.

Awesome Piranhamoose by Wondermark

by Andy on August 27, 2009

won-piranhamoose

This horrifyingly-awesome creature may very well be recognisable to those of you that read the webcomic Wondermark, by David Malki, those of you that don’t, it’s a piranha crossed with a moose, how cool is that? If you want a little more explanation that that (and it’s not much more, mind you), the shirt is based on this strip from the comic.

Who wants to help responsible, sustainable, socioeconomic growth in Africa? You do of course, and now you can do it on the cheap. There’s no graphics to speak of, just high quality blank tees at half price (running between €11 and €14 depending on style).

No HYA today, and possibly tomorrow (and expect things to be slow towards the end of the week when my unnecessarily fast computer arrives), because it’s not raining and where I live you have to take advantage of such opportunities, especially when a special lady has the day off work.

T-Shirts on ‘Sale’ at A Better Tomorrow

by Andy on August 21, 2009

summersale_teaser_newsletter

A Better Tomorrow, who consistently have high quality winners in their design competition, are holding an end of summer sale for all their in-house shirts (so not the ones produced by other brands). The thing is, the tees are all €22, isn’t that the price that they usually are? That’s the price that I’ve been listing their tees at in the past when I’ve written about them. Anyone know what’s going on?

Monster by Rosie Apps

by Andy on August 21, 2009

monster-green-on-black

Rosie Apps is a young artist from London who designs & prints t-shirts, and a fine job of it she is doing too. All the tees are printed on American Apparel, limited to 50 pieces of each design in each colour (and there are quite a lot of colourways if you don’t dig the black/green like I do).

Rosie has been kind of us to and provided a coupon code, RAPPS10 , that will give you 10% off any of the tees in store.

Costiness=£18 Available from Rosie’s Big Cartel Store

Now Panic And Freak Out by Olly Moss for Threadless

[my latest Threadless purchase, hopefully it’s making it’s way across the Atlantic now]

I know I mentioned this a little while ago but I’ve got a single $25 Threadless Gift Certificate available for the price of $17 if anyone would like to contribute to my new PC fund (I totally need a powerful PC with two 22 inch monitors for blogging and web-browsing). E-mail me (or use the contact form) with your Paypal address (so that I can invoice you for the GC) and I’ll get it to you as quickly as possible.

It’s gone! But hopefully there will be more where that came from.

3D Robot by Drop Dead Clothing

3D Robot T-Shirt by Drop Dead Clothing

Drop Dead claim that this is “probably the best 3-d shirt on planet earth”, and whilst I can’t point to any specific examples right now (though help would be much appreciated in the comments), I get the feeling that probably isn’t true. That said, it’s a pretty freakin’ sweet tee, especially since they come with a pair of 3D glasses.

La Roux x Graniph Collaboration T-Shirt

by Andy on August 21, 2009

La Roux x Graniph Collaboration T-Shirt

I don’t keep up with this stuff too much, but I’m pretty sure that La Roux are hot property right now, they were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, so they’re probably extremely cool. Graniph actually included their debut CD in their latest package, and whilst I’ve not given it a good listen (a single run-through whilst doing a million other things) I was pretty impressed with what I heard. Of course, the ability to fashion an excellent pop tunes doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re going to be similarly talented when it comes to t-shirt design (though it is fairly likely that a musician will be a have some skill as a t-shirt designer since both tasks require a creative mind).

I like the tee, it has the feel of a crest without actually being a crest (note to self: worst description ever). It also looks kind of like a chicken with a beehive hairstyle… I’d better stop writing before this post gets any weirder (and it started out so well!).

family guy peter rematch chicken t-shirt

I don’t think I’d wear it, but I really like this style and I’m a total sucker for the Peter vs Chicken fight scenes that seems to appear every few seasons on Family Guy, even though they don’t really do much for the story (what story? Some of you may shout). It might be nice if the print was a bit bigger, but that seems to be a complaint that I could make about most merchandise for TV shows.

Costiness=$20 Available from 80sTees
