It’s always unfortunate when a company decides to shut it’s doors and stop selling tees, but in this case as
District Cotton closes, Brett, the guy behind DC, is keeping in the tee business with a brand called
Good Tee that will be providing socially responsible t-shirt printing. Of course, with District Cotton closing down, they’ve got some stock that needs to be disposed of, which means organic tees for less than $10, and a few of the tees are $5, so expect them to be snapped up fast!

Ahhhh,
Star Wars tees, their popularity are one of the reasons why I’m typing this post from a new computer (have I mentioned my two 23″ monitors on the blog before? They’re freakin’ awesome!). But beyond the fact that they’re helping to turn HYA into a full-time gig for me, I do actually like a lot of them, and I’m always impressed that people are able to do something fresh and new with a franchise that people have been designing around for many years. Here’s some details from Pandycane:
its a 3 color print, drawn by the wonderful Greg Abbot, and based on star wars!! Printed on red american apparel shirts, this tee is now available at our store for £15 +p/p, but! you can get 10% off with discount code “hideyourarms” and all tees come in custom hand screen printed boxes, and of course with sweets in the box!

The
Willy Wonka tee is only available in size small, and the
Wizard of Oz tee is only available in size large, but so $6 I’m sure some of you will be happy to clean out their remaining inventory of these two tees.

We don’t seem to have been hearing
too much anything from Eric Terry, the fellow behind
Linty Fresh, since he moved to China more than a month ago. Maybe his usual communications channels are blocked where he in behind the Great Firewall of China and he’s not able to keep us updated. I’ve really enjoyed reading about his adventures adapting to his new life, so hopefully he’ll be able to start blogging again. However, being in a cone of silence clearly hasn’t stopped him putting out a new design. Personally, I love cities, the freedom of living in Philly where I walked everywhere was wonderful, I love living in the country too, but living a 20 minute drive from most of my friends and shops can be frustrating.

Usually I’d rag on a tee for having a square border to the print as this tee from new, eco-friendly label
OMUNKY, but in this case I think it gives more of an ‘art on a tee’ look to it, and kudos on the use of negative space.

* I’ve got 3 more invite codes and since there is such demand I will sell them for $6 each via PayPal, send me a message and we can sort out the details. *
That’s me at the Gorges du Verdon in France last weekend, it’s like France’s Grand Canyon, except you can drive around it, if you’re ever in the area I wholeheartedly recommend making the trip.
I was under the impression that Spotify (a free ad-supported music streaming service with millions of tracks available for your listening pleasure) had opened up and was now available for those that want it in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France or Spain, the countries where the service can currently be used. However, when apparently this is not the case, and people do still need invites to sign up for the service (they’re even listed on eBay, whether people are paying is another matter altogether). I’ve got 8 invites to give away on a first come first serve basis, though I may give preferential treatment to regular commenters if this post gets inundated by by people who have never read HYA just coming here to get their invite and go. Just leave a comment on this post (making sure to include a valid e-mail address that I can send the invite to) and I’ll try send the invites when I get the opportunity, but please remember not to ask for an invite if you don’t live in any of the countries I’ve mentioned because you won’t be able to use the service, and that would just waste the invite.
I’ve been using the service more and more recently, it’s great to have a service where I can freely and legally listen to pretty much any music that I want (the catalogue is really extensive, it’s pretty rare that they don’t have what I want), and it’s encouraging me to buy more music too (for listening to in the car), so everyone wins!
***I have no invtes left, please stop asking me for them, although of course feel free to give invites to each other in the comments, but I personally have no more to give.***
