Man o’Warning by Verdestyles

man o war t-shirt

Regular readers will be well aware that previously hard-line stance over logo tees has been softening recently, and this tee is further evidence of my downward spiral into brand-itude, because when I noticed the ‘verde’ text in the jellyfish, not only did I not recoil in horror, I actually smiled, because that type qork it pretty fun. Verde Styles are quite an interesting company, every design they sell has an environmentally concious message behind it (and the message isn’t put on the shirt in a “look how environmental I am, I am a better person than you” kind of a way either) , and for every tee they sell, a charity plants a tree, which sounds pretty damn cool.

Costiness=$14.99 Buy it at Verde Styles

Me not knowing it was a logo tee until you pointed it out is definitely a plus. I don’t get why it’s called “Man o’Warning”, though. What’s the ‘warning’ about?

  • Ian

The “warning” means simply that this is a warning. If you read the description below you’ll understand

“A new threat from deep under the sea has surfaced as many species of jellyfish have decimated a large portion of the global supply of seafood, as well as cripple industries worldwide who thrive off of a strong fishing season. The sudden swarm of harmful jellyfish can be attributed to a few factors, the primary ones being rising sea temperatures due to global warming and the constant polluting of all of our seas. The pollutants are a strong source of food for all species of jellyfish, giving them more of a reason to migrate towards the shores. Many have lost jobs because of this, and some have even lost their lives. This should be a warning and a reminder for all, that polluting needs to stop now.”

    See you in Brussels!

Thank Sarah, and I’m glad more people are calling him Spooner, it took far too long for him to come around to us calling him that at uni!
