There are a lot of Star Wars fans out there, and there are also a lot of graphic designers out there, and let’s presume that there is at least some overlap between the two. I assume that when Lucas Film call (or more likely e-mail) a designer and say “hey, make us a t-shirt” the designer gets pretty excited, and when they offer to pay them for the pleasure they get downright delirious, so I’m sure that Reece Ward is pretty happy to have another shirt landing on StarWarsShop.com (presuming he’s a fan, of course), and pretty happy that it’s a good design.
