2912 480x320 Reprints and still Clearance at Threadless (29/12/2011)

A little few reprints and still some $9.50 tees remaining for you to snatch up. I will be a sneaky half reprint half sale blog like I did on Monday.

Firstly a girly fit only tee! Gorgeous Let Go by Lim Heng Swee, features a lovely sky scape and a girl with a kite. It looks very much like a drawing from a children’s book. I personally think it works a lot better on the Lake coloured regular fit than the Teal scoop neck. Teal looks more like sea than sky to me.

I am quite partial to a play on words tee, Boom Box by Alex Solis is a pretty nifty design, this one is only available for guys (and kids). So I am levelling up. This cute little bomb with his gigantic ghetto blaster really makes me smile.

I don’t own a Threadless Yellow tee but this design makes me wish I did! Foxes are super cute animals, wish I could get a tame one, I love Foxy Hip Hop by Alejandro Giraldo Arango, is so unusual, will deffo make you stand out in a crowd.

Lastly from this selection of reprints, one that’s been reprinted several times, probably because it’s super cute and has food with a face. I Was Here by Dina Prasetyawan is clever and adorable and I understand why it’s so desired.

Now for the sale tees! Like last time I am gonna do a guys one, gals one and a kiddies one so I don’t bore y’all too much. For guys, it’s a bummer it is sold out in a size Small but this t-shirt is absolutely breath taking, have to admit I don’t think I know many guys who would wear this but it appeals to me : The General by Tom Buch.general 480x347 Reprints and still Clearance at Threadless (29/12/2011)

Edvard Munch is one of my favourite artists, I quite like this cheeky modern take on one of this most famous paintings ‘The Scream’. The Scr-Emo by Jesse McCormack is hilarious and I can think of plenty of people to buy it for who wouldn’t appreciate it one bit.

My boyfriend has a thing about stars and it’s kind rubbed off onto me! I’d quite like to get Family by Ryan Lin for to kiddies, I’d love to get one for myself too so we all match. I’m a softie like that.

New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

2612 480x335 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

Oh really Threadless another sale? Anyone would think they are having trouble shifting tees, a bit bored of blogging reductions now. However if you have a browse around you can get some lovely tees for a mere $9.50! Spend those Chirstmas pennies wisely Threadless fans. I finally ordered that funky Princess Leia : Logical Conclusion by Matheus Lopes and I’m very excited about it’s arrival.

There are however a few new tees for me to blog which is rather lovely, they have been very few and far between over the festive period. Firstly I really love Pillow Fight Champion by Alex Solis, poor battered and bruised pillow somehow manages to make for a very cute design.

pillow 480x347 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

I love the feminine design on Japanese Graffiti by Jasmi Ottelin, not surprisingly it’s only in girly fit but they have regular and V-neck. I’d actually be inclined to give the v-neck of this tee ago. The design is both delicate and quite urban and the subtle colours work perfectly.

jap 480x347 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

Next design looks really whimsical, like an illustration for a child’s book before my time. The brown, greens and blues really add to the vintage feel. A Magical Place by Robson Borges almost has a Disney feel to it.

amag 480x347 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

Lastly form the newbie tees Surface To Air by Niel Quisaba is simply epic, all the best colours of the rainbow which pop against the black tee, this tee just looks like a very beautiful alien abduction. I have a bit of a tee crush.

surface 480x347 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

Now finally going to blog my favourite $9.50 tees!  If I was getting one for my boyfriend from the bargain selection it would be ‘Every Night I Have The Same Dream, Issue 2, Vol 1′ by Tony Moore. It’s a tee he’s told me he wants several times and he likes the fact it has detail on the back.

Everynight1 480x347 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

If I was getting on for myself I’d go for My Childhood Fantasy by Ralphy Pykee Lambaco, the design is so perfectly surreal and kooky and feeds my fish fantasies perfectly! This is a tidge more expensive, seems that way with quite a few tees with girl fit vs man fit.

childhood 480x347 New at Threadless this week (& $9.50 tees) 26/12/2011

If I was getting one for my kids, and I have to admit there isn’t a massive selection I’d go for Polar Gardening by Jean-Sebastien Deheeger simply because it’s adorable and seasonal.

breakfast t-shirt

Chances are this will be the last daily news post of the year, it may even be my last post of the year, I haven’t decided yet, but I certainly won’t be blogging tomorrow or on Christmas day, I’ll just see if the mood strikes me in the days between Christmas and New Year if any big news comes up. If I don’t post anything else, I hope everyone enjoys the festive season and I’ll see you in 2012.

I like to treat myself to a fried breakfast once a week, just thought you guys would like to know that. Thanks, TeeFury.

Changes are coming at MySoti

by Andy on December 22, 2011

in News

mysoti news

I told you earlier in the week that Steve was going to be leaving his post as the head man at POD community site MySoti, but somehow I didn’t think that the change was going to come this quickly. The King is dead, long live the Kind, as they say, and new guy Aaron is already in the role of head honcho and sent out his first newsletter recently outlining what he wants to do to help move the site on to the next level:

Hey there everyone.

I’m so pleased to be writing this first blog entry from the MySoti hot seat and help Steve keep the MySoti dream alive. He said you guys are special, and he’s totally right! Just look at the new cool stuff available this week alone.

So I know there are a few things Steve wanted to sort out to give both designers and customers a smoother ride. It isn’t going to happen overnight, but we’re really working hard to accelerate the good work that Steve started. I say “we” because I have some friends helping spread the load. I guess I should give you my manifesto. Here goes:

1. Shipping times will be drastically reduced. This is our top priority, so expect to see those lead times shrinking to e-commerce friendly turnaround times very soon. I’ll make an “official” announcement once we’ve nailed it.

2. Customer service will be more rapid, and you’ll have less reason to need it!

3. More products! I’ve already started the conversations to move this on. I can’t tell you what we’ve got in store for you just yet, but I know you’ll just love it! Stay tuned.

4. More opportunities to make money! It’s all super secret at the moment, but we are in conversations to get your products in front of more people.

Many of you may also have noticed that the calculations on commission payments look as if they have changed recently. This isn’t what’s happening. Our technical drones have been working on fixing some problems that have been discovered during the hand over. None of you will lose any money, and your commission payments will be the same as before. I promise.

Both Steve and I really appreciate you guys and gals hanging in there and supporting us. You’ll soon see that your loyalty is well placed!

Happy Holidays everyone

I hope it all works out for them, they’ve had some rotten luck in the past.

Daily Tees & News for December 22nd

22.12.2011
Thumbnail image for Daily Tees & News for December 22nd

Things really are getting quiet in the tee world as people get ready for Christmas and the last order dates are passed for most brands, hopefully we’ll all be able to relax soon. But, but, where’s the reference in this TeeFury design?! How weird that there would be a 1% milk shirt at Snorg this [...]

“Wayne Enterprises” Batman t-shirt from MySoti

22.12.2011
Thumbnail image for “Wayne Enterprises” Batman t-shirt from MySoti

There’s been a lot of hubbub about the new Batman movie Dark Knight Rises over the past couple of days since the new trailer has been released for the film, which gave me ample opportunity to mention this t-shirt over at MySoti which has been languishing in my bookmarks for far too long. Lovely style [...]

“Free your mind” sweater & hoodie from Dawn Clothing

21.12.2011
Thumbnail image for “Free your mind” sweater & hoodie from Dawn Clothing

I like the style of the graphic on this sweater & hoodie from Dawn Clothing (a Belgian brand), there’s a kind of graphic novel feel to it that lends itself to the design. Here’s some info about the item from Dawn themselves: – The hoodie/sweater itself is made of 100% organic fair trade cotton, so [...]

Ten item Winter Line from Fancy Robot

21.12.2011
Thumbnail image for Ten item Winter Line from Fancy Robot

Solid release from Fancy Robot, quite a lot of it has their name and/or logo on it so you’ll probably need to be a fan of the brand to pick up quite a lot of it, but they have a nice logo so there’s nothing wrong with that. You’ll notice an ‘inside out’ design in [...]

Good to see Hello Fresco releasing some new stuff after they made quite an impression in the tee world with their launch over the last couple of months. Of the two new designs I’d say that Yo Yo is my favourite.

Star Wars meets Firefly in this design at TeeFury. Trust Qwertee to bring out a shirt that is so British. Shirt Punch put Darth Vader on a playing card and hot damn it looks good. RIPT have a Star Wars x Wizard of Oz mashup. Tuxedo Tees do have a bit of retro charm to [...]

“Meat & Bones” a glorious t-shirt from Chickenfarm

21.12.2011
Thumbnail image for “Meat & Bones” a glorious t-shirt from Chickenfarm

I really like the idea of taking the traditional crossbones and replacing them with a couple of chicken legs drawn in this simple and fun style. The lack of complication certainly helps lend it to the one-colour print and makes me think that they could use the design on a variety of products like stickers [...]

Thumbnail image for “Godzilla vs. King Kong” bamboo t-shirt from Part-Time Superheroes

I’m a bit of a sucker for these shirts that create an imaginary boxing match poster, and this is no exception, and the fact that this one is printed onto a bamboo t-shirt makes me like it more. If only we could see the real tee rather than just a mockup. Costiness=£28 Buy it at [...]

Thumbnail image for Firefly make some interesting tees, HYA readers get 30% off!

Jeff over at Firefly got in touch recently to let me know about his brand, Firefly, and when I checked them out I was impressed. The designs aren’t complicated art, they’re simple, often symbol based, and with really nice, vibrant colourways. I’m sure a few of you are disappointed that this brand has nothing to [...]

This TeeFury shirt has everything, horror, a movie parody, 80s games, 8-bit, and lots of criticism in their comments about the head looking pasted on! Not often you see an orange shirt, usually it only happens when Tilteed pull this design out of the closet. This Shirt.Woot design is simple but I like it. I’ve [...]
