Isn’t the Shotgun/Like “Groovy” shirt an Evil Dead reference?

  • http://hideyourarms.com/ Andy (Hide Your Arms)

Y’know, I think you might be right, I saw a gun and the word groovy (and it was pixelated) and made the association with Duke Nukem, but with it being a shotgun Evil Dead may make more sense. I’ve just looked again and in the sidebar at RIPT there’s a picture of Bruce holding the pixelated shotgun, so that pretty much confirms it!

I’m real sorry…but 24tee.com does not belong in this group. The other sites are actual designs by real designers. 24tee is a joke to this industry. They’re a clear example of a company who thinks they can just offer anything at $10 for 24 hours and it’ll work. I can pickup dirt and smear it on a tee for $10, don’t make it a business. They consistently feature garbage and have absolutely no traffic. It’s time they closed up. I can’t see them selling more then 2 tees a week and I would guess that’s from family and friends.

  • Ashley

I couldn’t agree more MiekaArt. Is 24tee.com a joke? Like are we being punked? Do they actually think they have anything worthwhile? I’d rather have nothing then have their shirts. Please stop featuring them, they simply don’t deserve it and it actually makes hideyourarms look bad.

  • http://hideyourarms.com/ Andy (Hide Your Arms)

I’ll give them another week and each day ask for feedback from people regarding whether they should be posted or not, so if you want them gone please remain vocal next week (you don’t have to post every day, I’m not that desperate for comments, I just want to know that the comments are a fair reflection of opinion).

  • http://twitter.com/Eternyl Eternyl Clothing

Keep them on…They are pretty bad, but I like how they bring a contrast. Sometimes you need the junk to show you how great other companies are. Too many home runs will make the game pointless after a while.

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

Thanks for the wonderful comments! Garbage is in the eye of the beholder after all… and just because you don’t like our designs doesn’t mean other people do not. Our shirts are NOT garbage, they are great. Thanks for your review and hopefully one day we will have some submissions that are more to your liking… or not, whatever. Sincerely, 24teeman!

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

As far as us having no traffic, that is not true. Check our alexa ranking. We’re not closing up – we’re staying open, but thank you for the advice! Some sort of sour-grapes circulating here and we’d like to address it, head-on. What’s your real grudge?

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

    Thanks for your comments!

  • WigglyPug

Honestly, Eternyl’s post made me laugh….not at Eternyl, but at 24tee. What you’re saying is 24tee is like the ugly girl in the group of hotties. She makes everyone else look THAT much hotter…lol. Listen, 24tee isn’t even a bottom feeder…they’re just really bad.. Alexa ranking means NOTHING. Anyone can tell you that…look at sits like ToplessRobot or X-Entertainment…they’re in the top 20,000 websites in the world and they don’t break even with advertising.

If all you have are alexa rankings, then you clearly don’t know what you’re doing.

Personally I love HideYourArms! Found out about them through ShirtPunch and I’ve been reading daily. I do agree, 24tee sullies the site. It would be like walking into a Coach store for a purse and seeing plastic bags on the shelf.

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

it’s pretty clear now that the morons from ShirtPunch are having fun with this thread … whatever.

  • WigglyPug

That’s your response? I’m sorry to say, 24tee, but I don’t actually work for any of these companies. Even if I did, do you really think it’s professional to write “morons”? If anything, you’re a moron for thinking your site even has a chance at making more then 1 sale a week. I’ve looked at your Facebook and gone through to your personal page…you’re a basement dwelling man-child.

I hope TeeFury, ShirtPunch, RIPT, and Qwertee do read this so they can laugh. Do you notice that none of them have commented on this? That’s because they’re professional.

Grow up. Your site sucks and you know it does. Rage face tees? Really?! I showed some of my co-workers (I work for a real estate company, not a t-shirt company) and they literally laughed at how bad your crap is. It’s not art, it’s clip art. Matter of fact, your site gives clip art a bad name.

After the comment you just wrote, HideYourArms should be boycotting you regardless.

Glad you got that off your chest?

Umm…24tee, I really hope that’s someone pretending to be you and not actually you. Sadly, I know that’s not the case. How embarrassing for you. You don’t deserve access to the internet, let alone your own website.

I agree with everyone else here, btw, HYA is a really nice read for me (and my wife) and 24tee brings the quality down. 24tee, HYA has been tossing you a bone for far too long.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jimiyo Jimi Benedict

Glad you are posting shirt a days Andy. We appreciate it! :D

  • MiekaArt

My grudge is that you don’t belong here. I enjoy reading this site very much, and you’re ruining it. Just because you sell one shirt every 24 hours doesn’t mean you belong. I can put on a chef’s hat, doesn’t mean I can cook. Most of the time you don’t even have a design! I’ve seen you just write words like “Fanta” on a shirt and then you tag it by saying “Everyone likes Fanta” or some crap like that.

Most people also enjoy french fries…so does that mean you’re going to put a french fry on a shirt and sell it? Oh wait…you did, only with bacon. And for the record, that bacon shirt looked like a penis over and over.

Also, it’s interesting that you would call another site “morons” and then use the “alexa” rankings are your benchmark for success. I say this because my understanding is that you opened up 5 weeks BEFORE that company, and they’re destroying you in rankings….also they have 3 times the FB followers and about 900 times the twitter followers….so if they’re “morons” then what does that make you?

I’ve decided I’m going to sell shirts too! I’m going to randomly google anything I want, and that’s my shirt of the day! Now I guess I should be put up on this blog too! My alexa rankings will determine my success!

    You’re a moron.

  • WigglyPug

I’m glad YOU got that off YOUR chest. You made yourself look really stupid. Way worse then I made you look.

  • http://twitter.com/Patrick_TT Patrick Toay

Funny how some people get real big behind a computer screen with their comments. 24tee have a certain niche they market towards, and if you don’t like it why voice such a negative attitude towards them? I would keep 24Tee in the daily feed, you never know when you may need a rageface shirt

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

Everyone has their own opinions but it’s disappointing to read these schoolyard squabbles. The same things can be said for the many companies passing off blue phone booths as art or derived work that has already been on the market for years. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. 24tee, don’t let others drag you into an argument where you can only come off in a bad light, it’s not good business. Critics, if you don’t like it just move pass it. I’m sure there’s better things to do when your at work than trying to intentionally harm someones livelihood. If you’ve never designed a shirt and had people buy it or have ran a clothing company or blog that makes money you’re review is what it’s worth, and everyone should consider that when deciding whether to make a rebuttal.

24 Tee have been nice enough to print 2 of my designs. Candy Trooper and Tattoo D2. The 24hr sale model is a difficult business model to make work. It’s a heavy strain on the printers and retailer, and honestly not much of a profit maker for designers at $1 a shirt. But unless you want to pay $23-$30 for a tee why are you complaining. The consumer is the biggest winner. I can’t say that I agree with the decision to carry so many meme based shirts that are the same, but memes become memes for a reason. people like them. I think with some better focus, and more variety there could be a real market there. It’s a new business and there are going to be some growing pains. I would take this criticism to heart and try to move the brand forward, and just work harder. I’ve been around long enough to see a lot or tee shirt brands come and go. The ones that didn’t make it are the ones that ignored criticism and didn’t change, Or listend to criticism and did change, and still failed. That’s why as much as customer feedback is important it’s even more important to be creating products for a specific audience, and spending every waking hr trying to get that audience. I will continue to support 24tee, and any other brand that wants to try selling tee shirts. As a whole we are a pretty tiny indy industry, and I think we can all benefit better from sticking together.
The bad news is there is a long road ahead for 24 tee, The good news is that, it’s paved by those that have come before, and there is a lot of information and resources out there. If you don’t like the designs, Make one you do like. peace

I hate designs from t-shirts sites I love. But some people love the design I hate. And others hate the site I love. We are all different.. that’s our beauty… what you consider a peice of shit, someone will pay 25$ to wear … hell, people wear stuff I wouldn’t wear even If I got paid 100$ ( Ok for over that I’d wear anything :P )

Okay I have Had a few of my Dr Who Designs ran by 24tee… I saw this earlier but I am not great at writing, and therefore felt it best to keep my words to myself. Quakerninja said my thoughts so much better than I could have. Tee Craze also hit on some of my thoughts as well… Adding one last thing with the above suggestions for 24tee is the Artist Promotion… I’d like to see better promotion of the artist on 24tee

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

This point is very well taken. We will work better at promoting our artists. Thank you.

  • http://www.24tee.com 24Tee Man

We’ve started this night off with only a few sales. . . Originally not friends and family, but now they are.

  • Quakerninja

You can’t blame 24 Tee for the quality of the designs that get run. With a business model like 1 shirt a day. That’s a ton of designs. They have already pre agreed to run shirts, and have to run them from the submissions provided. What happens if there aren’t any good designs submitted? Do they just fold up shop and wait for good ones to come it, NO the show must go on of course.
The real problem is curation, and submission quality.
Shirts are getting printed that should be denied, and designs are getting submitted that are just plain terrible. There are several reasons for this.
More action is required to promote, and recrute talent on the part of 24tee.
and designers need to be educated on why lazy design is a bad idea.
It makes the designer look bad, and hurts the client, who’s left with a stinking lemon no one wants. No designer is a mind reader, in our personal work we make what we like, for client work we depend on a good descriptive brief that tells us who the intended design is for what the idea is in detail, and other important information. Consumers can help by telling the designers what they want to see more of. Do you like gore zombie shirts, clever slogan tees, pop culture, graphic tees, geometric designs and so forth. It helps both the designer and the client have a focus. If you really want to see 24tee survive, let us know what you want to see, so they can better target designers that fit the brand, and help improve the submission quality. If you are a designer, let 24tee borrow from your designs for sale folder for a day or two. You lose nothing and make a few bucks. Those unsold designs are doing nothing for you siting on a hard drive. Put them to work. There are hundreds of designs made everyday, most of which will never be printed, because the designers don’t have the resources.

I don’t really know why people are complaining so bitterly about 24tee … I’ve had a fantastic shopping experience> I live overseas so the package seemed to be lost in the mail after 3 weeks, 24tee sent out another package, no questions asked. One week after the second package was shipped, BOTH arrived at the same time (package #1 was stuck in customs). I was told to keep the second package and just distribute the shirts to my friends (which I did). Every email I sent them was answered within 2h tops.
I can only speak from a consumer POV but from there, 24tee did everything right.
