We Are Lions – t-shirts designed by people with developmental challenges [Submitted]

It is said that a piece of visual art is the window to the soul. It is a unique form of expression that is forever empowering to the artist. At We Are Lions, our shirts make this experience available and valuable for those who may not have the opportunity on their own. We give individuals with disabilities a voice by fostering their talents. The t-shirt’s designs are derived from the artwork of children and adults with developmental challenges. A portion of the profits from t-shirt sales goes to the organization/artist that original piece of artwork came from. It is clear to see that the talents of these individuals should be viewed alongside those of any other artist. Through the expression of art combined with fashion, We Are Lions encourages acceptance, consciousness, and inclusion of those with disabilities.
