Another tee has arrived, this time from LTDEX! I did my “Big Leah Smile” that I always do when a tee package is sitting on my doorstep, then I ripped open the mailer, pulled the t-shirt out, examined, smiled some more, then shook the package and sadly no stickers or a business cards fell out, which is something I always look for when I first open up the package. I could have possibly misplaced them in my excitement upon opening everything up, I am not sure, but there was a quick, nice note to me from LTDEX, so I appreciated that of course!
LTDEX sent me this tee, Let’s Get Weird which I have to admit, I had no idea what, “Let’s Get Weird” even meant and that gives away that I am not as hip as I probably should be! After a bit of research, I mean Googling, I found out that the phrase was popularized (and possibly originated) from a show called, Workaholics, which I have not had the pleasure of watching yet, but if it’s getting tees made based on it, then it must be good… right? Well maybe, but go ahead and watch the scene that got this little phrase popular – you know you want to chant it!
When researching, I did see several other tees with this “chant” written on it, and while walking on the beach a few days after I got the tee, I saw someone wearing a tee with “Let’s Get Weird” on it, so it’s not a very unique or hard to find design. With that said, the t-shirt at LTDEX is different from the bunch I’ve seen with it’s simple and bright, retro typeface bursting from the black t-shirt; it is well designed and it’s definitely an eye catcher!
After a little more examining, I noticed it’s printed on a lovely American Apparel fine jersey, so it’s not only soft, it’s one that is of complete quality – a good choice to print on! I really like wearing t-shirts that are a bit loose on me, like this tee, but not all ladies are like me; some prefer something fitted and tight when they are picking out a graphic tee. LTDEX offers only Unisex/Male sizes, so for the ladies that like your tees fitted, you’re out of luck!
When looking at the design closely, the actual print is done nicely – it’s a screen print and the ink has absorbed and fuzed with the threads of the soft blank so after a few washes, it still is maintaining it’s color and crispness. My only regret is that LTDEX did not incorporate a custom tag, either printed or sewn on, to identify the brand on the tee. It not only advertises, it just looks professional and is one of my favorite added touches to a t-shirt.
Make sure to check out LTDEX’s website – looks like a fun bunch of people over there – the model shots are definitely fun! Take a look at the other t-shirts to choose from, most focusing on typography in their designs. Thanks to LTDEX for sending me a tee to review, it’s always a pleasure, and thanks to the readers out there!
