Thankfully, all members of the HYA blogging team on the East coast of the US appear to have made it through Hurricane Sandy without major incident or damage, but there are a lot of people out there who were not nearly as fortunate, and even though the US is a wealthy country (in spite of the economic downturn) there are still a lot of people out there who need a lot of help, and they need it now. NJ based Jersey Trash and Winky Boo (run by our very own Amy, who is okay though without power) have teamed up to sell a shirt with the proceeds going to the American Red Cross. I am well aware that only a few hours ago I wrote about ‘slacktivists’ buying shirts instead of actually helping a situation, but the American Red Cross have said that right now what they want is money, they don’t need cans of soup, they need money and buying this shirt will help with that situation because it will give money to the American Red Cross and hopefully help these people going through an awful time.

Costiness=$20 Buy it at Jersey Trash
