Dance Party Massacre are celebrating their 5th anniversary with this latest release, and they’re doing so with style putting out 8 new items, all of which I would happily wear (always a good sign). Great lookbook images (and video too), and they even did a ‘Zombie Fashion Show‘ recently to show off the new tees which is definitely worth a look. Tees with run you $20/$22 and the crew neck is $37.95.
This season’s drop happens to be our 5 year anniversary. Launching in 2007 at a house party, the brand has come a long way being carried in stores domestic and overseas, having numerous write-ups in publications, and continuing to have fans who’ve been there from Day 1.
The Fall 2012 collection takes a nod at the past reprinting a top selling shirt from our first season, while putting out an anniversary design to celebrate the time passed. The well-known horror imagery and metaphors Dance Party Massacre has come to be known for is combined with a subtler design approach. The season is taken into context too, referencing Halloween and also using more subdued fall colors not always seen in the line. Overall it’s a mix of new and old, and adjusting with the times while celebrating our core ideas.
Here’s to the next 5 years!
