Oak + Oar Fall/Winter 2012 ‘The Life After Midnight’ [Submitted]

The Life After Midnight is the second offering from Canadian based brand Oak + Oar. The Fall/Winter collection is inspired by the sleepless nights of lake life, huddled around the woodstove, beer in tow while exchanging exaggerated stories – the stories that remain a staple of conversation years later. The Life After Midnight is what you make it. It’s different for each individual for some the forgettable and others the hours of creative flow. This collection is a synergy of both ideals.

Through a dark and muted colour palette the line, consisting of a strong fleece program and an array of tees and accessories, ventures into the midnight hour. Graphics revolving around Midnight Marauding make up the collection that was proudly printed in Canada in the Midnight hour.

Each year we partner with an organization or charity group to give back and get involved where we can. With every purchase made between May 7, 2012 and Dec 31, 2012 proceeds will directly benefit The Masigcine Children’s Home in Mfuleni, South Africa. The home currently houses 28 orphaned, abandoned and HIV infected children between 3-months to 6-years of age.

Andy: Impressive collection and an equally impressive submission too! I can’t understand why they’ve decided to put a splash page on their website though, it’s just one more barrier between a shopper and them making a purchase if you ask me.
