Kramer Apparel is a German-based clothing brand in the making, first seen in this year, in 2013.
The first collection is not buyable yet although several designs have been published already.
According to the founder, Johannes, the designs are mainly influenced by music, contemporary art, the indie culture and nature.
The current logo is a new touch on the so-called “Hipster-X”, the X is formed by two darts which are surrounded by 4 logos.
– two footprints which symbolize togetherness
– a tree symbolizing nature and summer
– an ice crystal which stands for winter
– and waves symbolizing water, the source of life.
– sometimes these are accompanied by a heart representing love.
“Appreciate nature. Love. Togetherness.”
The name itself, Kramer, is an outdated German word for grocer, and the old house name of Johannes´ family.
While the black crewneck sweater is just a simple logo sweater for all who simply want to rep the brand and stay warm, the white tee is Kramer´s first with a photography on it, showing a photographic negative of a little creek in winter.
Appreciate nature. Love. Togetherness.
Andy: Here’s the problem, there’s nothing to buy here and not enough to get excited about, people may see this post and think “oh, that’s nice” and maybe they’ll follow Kramer on Twitter, but the chances of them remember to come back later and buy something are very slim considering that there are thousands of companies out there who have stuff that a customer could buy right now. I totally understand that Kramer are excited about the future, but is this the best time for them to be promoting themselves? I don’t feel that they will be getting the most out of their marketing efforts at the moment when there are other things that it would be better to focus on first, namely, having a product to sell.
