100copies Bicycle Art Tee – Made To Unwind

by Andy on January 31, 2014

One of the best ways to unwind is to get into cycling to enjoy the fresh air and do some exercise. Is your key to de-stress.

100copies is the brainchild of Singapore Creative Director Thomas Yang. An avid cyclist, he decided to combine two of his passions – bicycles and art – into 100copies. All of the products you see here are original designs created by him and are limited to, as the name suggests, 100 copies. Each piece of work will be watermarked, labeled with the title and edition number. As such, no two copies are ever completely identical.

Print Quality: 2 Colour (Special Pantone Gold & Cool Grey 5U) Silkscreen on 100% Cotton T-Shirt.

Andy: As you can probably tell, these guys put in quite a few submissions, which I’m usually not happy about but they do have some really nice shirts so I’m just spacing out their posts.

We are Foxdown Tees, founded by independent illustrator and designer Ronan Lynam and we invite you all to check out our new store. We even have a cool background image like Andy does!

Our passions has always been drawing and design, and we felt that (big surprise) shirts are a great way to share our humor, wit and style. We take inspiration from some of the best independent shirt illustrators (Glennz, Aled Lewis, etc) and wish to share with the world even more snarky designs.

Foxdown Tees loves HYA, and think that Andy does a great job at curating the site with quality content. We hope that HYA and the community enjoy our tees, and we look forward to sharing more with you all in the future!

Andy: In some ways, it’s almost annoying that they submitted this tee because it’s the kind of design that could turn people off from the brand, when they have other stuff on the site that is a lot more enjoyable, I’m actually really impressed with the rest of the catalogue and hope to see more of these guys.

My Main Man Pat are feeling the cold so they have added crew necks ($40) and hoodies ($50) to their lineup to go with the usual tees, good to see their range expanding.

RELLA was born out of a frustration towards the ever growing mass producing clothing industry. Our purpose is to produce a quality driven and transparent brand by still paying serious attention to our designs. Every aspect of the brand is carefully thought out; from the detailed finishing of the clothing, to the stories behind each print.

The influences for the RELLA A/W’13 Collection came from the theme ‘reality’. This involved regular photography trips around London to capture imagery that reflected our experience at that moment in time. The final designs are a blend of art and photography which have been manipulated into intricate patterns and visuals. These sit alongside our classic and simple range of polos and raglans

Before the launch, we created an artistically shot launch advert that captured an animated version of our symbol, the bengal tiger, prowling the streets of London. RELLA:Unleash The Tiger was released last summer giving no hints that it was by a new menswear brand. This shrouded the brand in mystery.

There exists a network of musicians, DJ’s and artists who wear our t-shirts at their gigs and exhibitions. These young creatives share our belief in high quality ethical clothing. You can see them at You’ve Been Rella’d!. If you want to be Rella’d, simply tweet us @RELLA_LDN with #rellabreed to become a part of our movement in restoring true quality in clothing.

Shop the collection: www.rella.co
Or just pop by Spitalfields Market, London every Friday and Saturday to see and try on the clothing.

Andy: Very impressive submission!

Tshirt Laundry are ready for the Super Bowl

by Andy on January 29, 2014

There’s nothing wrong with the designs, if a bit lazy since everyone is making jokes about both Super Bowl teams having legal weed, but surely they won’t be with you in time for the game if you ordered one now?

Beaubian Clothing, “The Brand on Fire!!”. Why on fire, one may ask? Well we are a fairly new company 6 months old today, however within this six months we have began to spread like wildfire across the United States; from east coast to west coast, from the north to the south. How and why? Well Beaubian Clothing not only offers cool and unique graphic designs, but we also educate the public at the same time. Most of our designs have a cool back story and background meaning on our website. Don’t only take my word for it check us out!!!

A couple of nice choices from laFraise this week.

Realeyez Apparel just relaunched their brand with the re-release of their original Combat design. It’s their logo t-shirt printed in yin yang color ways. This was the design that got them their start, with Mac Miller wearing it in Rapsody’s Extra Extra music video.

The concept behind the Combat is that we carry our own battles and burdens fighting our way through life. Some more conscious than others, but all facing pivotal choices of change. Through the evolution of expression we evolve as people, and it’s our hope that this evolution will bring you to a realization of your own. All for one, in Combat. The Combat is a uniform, a symbol for the real, and a reminder to the rest. If you look deep into the design, you’ll see that it is formed from the different symbols of punctuation defining the evolution of expression through our identity. Take action, engage!

What is so special about our clothes? Each t-shirt we design is inspired from a Biblical verse. We have selected great passages of scripture, but paraphrased them to a modern translation that still gets the point across without being cheesy.

In less than 2 weeks are 45% funded and that’s not it! Along with their kickstarter we’ve also started a giveaway, where you can win an Xbox One. Yes, you’ve heard right! Share the news via Facebook and Twitter using #NobleGiveaway and you have even more chances to win! The winner will be announced on February 14th.

Thank you so much Andy for helping us spread the word! Wish you all the best and I appreciate you and your work!

Three new shirts at Tshirt Laundry this week

by Andy on January 22, 2014

I’m not entirely sure why someone would want to wear a shirt with a kangaroo court on it, but at least the image is funny.
