Map-lovers: say hello to Citee.
Citee is a collection of 80 hand-finished t-shirts showing intricately crafted maps of cities all over the world. Maps are beautiful and often personal things and, since each is highly detailed, you can easily find your way home after a few drinks.
Each sublimation-printed shirt is available now on Kickstarter.
Andy: These are really cool! I’m not surprised that they’d already met the funding target!
Lab Rats Apparel is a small collection of stuff my best friend and I created in Aug. 2014 as an escape from our mediocre lives. It has given us a sense of purpose and a bit of hope. It was something scary and new, but has forced us to learn and grow. And as a start we’ve made these shirts.
Andy: If I was the kind of person that bought t-shirts instead of just waiting until people offered them to me even when I tell them I probably won’t do a review… I’d totally buy that Spaceship Mountain shirt!
100% cotton grade-A Trump Shirt. No Frills, just an iconic face.
Andy: I’m not really sure what to make of this, whether it’s some kind of joke or something, because in their shop they have this, and a shirt of a topless Vladmimir Putin? There’s nothing really wrong with the style of the shirt, but why would anyone want to wear it?
His brains ooze out… You can see his bones and guts…He’s not dead… He is undead! The zombie emerges… from the grave and to your closet on this soft, comfortable, jet black tee shirt.
Sotare’s latest offering, “Zombie Joey”, is a reminder to all of us not to be another faceless drone, a zombie of society’s mundane routine. Instead we need to stand up for what is right and actively engage in making this world a better place.
“Zombie Joey” is printed on a black, ring spun, cotton American Apparel shirt using soft off-white ink. HideYourArms readers, use the coupon code “HYA15” for 15% off your purchase.
For a limited time, Zombie Joey has been bundled with three other shirts and a belt for our End of Summer Sale. You can grab this pack for $65. More exciting things to come next month!
Andy: Cool design, thanks for the submission!

Andy: Whilst I quite like the style of the Inception design (though question who would be buying an Inception tee 5 years after it’s release), there is a clear issue that the Simpson’s design is copyright infringement as it’s an image of a character from the show with a quote. There’s no attempt at parody there so I can’t see a justification for it. That kind of thing puts me off a brand.
Based in the city increasingly known for its offbeat characters, Portland, Oregon, Ignorant/Reflections strikes back with it’s latest t-shirt offering, ‘Gentrification is WEIRD!’.
The first design released from the brand’s upcoming debut 6-piece collection, the ‘Reverse Gentrification’ collection, ‘Gentrification is WEIRD!’ comes as a not-so tongue and cheek reference to the popular ‘Keep Portland WEIRD!’ slogan which I/R founder says is responsible for a lot of the changing demographics in the city, an ideal that has caught on in other cities both nationally and internationally, they say.
Though based on the world famous ‘Keep Portland WEIRD’ slogan, this statement, like other Ignorant/Reflections offerings is one that can be felt beyond any one city or country.
To purchase your ‘Gentrification is WEIRD!’ t-shirt, head to www.ignorantreflections.com right now, and during checkout use the discount code HYAIR to receive 10 percent off the tee.*
Stay tuned with all other I/R happenings by keeping up with the brand on social media:
*Promo code also applies to ‘Gentrification is WEIRD!” stickers)
Andy: I like this design, but it certainly is one of the more local that I’ve posted over the years, it would make zero sense for me to wear it sat here in rural England. That’s no bad thing of course, but it does limit the appeal a bit.

All shirts are 100% cotton, and printed all over back and front.
“I tried to double capture important moments in my life: first on camera, and the other as a memory that has been already captured and now documented on a shirt or a dress which I wear. Printing the images on fabric is another evolution of the photo.”

Pnini is also the 2012 and 2013 winner of the NME music photography award.
Andy: Really cool, obviously too cool for me to wear, but at least I can enjoy looking at them!
We are a surf inspired menswear brand that takes its inspiration from the home of surfing, Hawaii.
We love the sea, surfing and all things in-between!
Our T’s have a vintage surf feel, graphics that evoke a laid-back beach vibe. Each is named after Hawaiian surf breaks. And, as you may have guessed, Maka Koa itself is a Hawaiian word meaning…….bold, unafraid, fierce.
Here’s hoping you love our T’s as much as we do.
Andy: Pretty cool stuff, thanks for the submission!

Andy: A good tee and a good cause!
We’re Teepotato. A small team of designers who have just launched a new T-shirt brand that include designs for gaming, art and anime and sometimes we mix all of that together. The launch happened in the very beginning of August 2015. This brand for us is a reminder of everything we love embodied in the form of T-shirts, Design is our biggest assets as we try to picture characters from games and cartoons from a different perspective. sometimes it’s a realistic perspective which is kind of fun because most of these characters aren’t meant to be realistic and some other times it’s a little carried away or an exaggerated perspective so every T-shirt truly carries its own idea or story and I’m sure there is a lot of people out there like us who will find joy in owning and wearing this style.
Andy: Pretty cool designs with a good cohesive look between them which is a bit of a rarity these days when it comes to the pop culture sites. Thanks for the submission!
The Story of Soleil Noir is a personal story.
It has been founded by Sanja Karic, a designer who was dreaming of life as a constant journey (she is now living between France and the Balkans, making this journey a dream come true). The brand is the product of a personal expression inspired by a vintage culture. It recalls the literature, photography, fine art of the late 19th and 20th century and the great artists who left their prints on our culture.
The name of the brand itself has been inspired by the poem El Desdichado (The Disinherited) by the poète maudit Gerard de Nerval. The words “Ma seule étoile est morte, – et mon luth constellé / Porte le soleil noir de la Mélancolie. ” (‘My sole star is dead – and my constellated lute / Bears the black sun of Melancholy’) are echoing through the entire collection of graphic T-shirts: dark and gloomy, but also romantic and nostalgic at the same time.
Each print by Soleil Noir is hand-drawn and tells a peculiar story inspired by real life or imaginary worlds. Their accessories as well as punk rock-style baby gear should be launched soon on their website.
In order to be able to focus on the creative work, Soleil Noir has lately teamed up with Spreadshirt, in charge of the printing and shipping. Soleil Noir drawings are now being printed on tees & tops from renowned brands such as American Apparel, High 5 and others.

Our T-Shirts are designed for the Adult Dating Scene. Each T-Shirt is in Code and requires The Code B Apparel Key to decipher. They are white T-Shirts with a type of Barcode image on the front and a Secret Logo on back.
The next time you see that special someone, simply point to your Code B Apparel Adult T-Shirt and Smile. If they have The Code B Apparel Key, they’ll know what you want.
Andy: I’ve been writing about tees for a long time, and I am yet to see a brand based on hidden codes last more than a couple of seasons, the problem with them being that they need to have a widespread adoption for them to make sense, and whilst the code here is pretty easy to work out, it’s still not easy enough to make a lot of sense to random people. I guess I’m skeptical on a personal level too, because I’ve never been one to hit on women in bars so something like this doesn’t appeal to me, but maybe it does for other people, perhaps in frats?
Think of yourself or any of the women in your life. What one word would represent them? How would you celebrate their unique simplicity, way of living free, being unstoppable, or their warrior spirit? You In A Word’s T-shirts offer a great way to wear your “word” with pride. Not only is the art hand draw for the shirts, another differentiating factor of these shirts, is their hangtags. They have written what the word means to them, and designated some space on the other side for you to write what the word means to you. It is a great gift for yourself, or a wonderful way to personalize a gift for family and friends.
“Love this tee because it reminds me to stay grounded and focus on what’s really important. It’s also super soft and comfy!” said Meghan Lawson about the Simple tee.
What word will you choose?
To receive 20% off, please visit www.youinaword.com and type SIMLPYYOU in the coupon code area.
Andy: To call someone “simple” in the UK suggests that they aren’t very smart, not sure that particular design would go over well on this side of the Atlantic!

As their sea ice habitat shrinks from climate change; smaller, skinnier, and hungrier polar bears face harsher challenges for survival.
How does climate change affect polar bears? Polar bears rely on sea ice to access the seals, their primary source of food as well as to rest and breed. With the shrinking of ice every year, polar bears are at risk.
We are a Boulder Colorado based company with the intent to help this growing problem by providing our customers with stylish clothing that they can wear proudly knowing they helped a good cause.
About 10% of the profit of every sale Is donated to Polar Bear Conservation to help Save these amazing animals.
For more information on Northern Lighting Clothing or for business inquires contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Andy: I like the Polar Bear design but part of me thinks it would look better without the text underneath, but as a new brand they need to have that brand to help get their name out there so I can see why they would have included it on the shirt. Good on them for the charity angle too.
Stylish tomato launched 15 days ago Except trying to make fresh, top quality tshirts we have 2 more goals:
– Sustainability – our tshirts are Stanley&Stella 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton means a lot more than sustainable future of the planet. Work environment can be monitored easily because the organic cotton is still just 1% from the world’s cotton production. That’s one more reason for us to choose Stanley&Stella because they work closely with Fair Wear Foundation which are all about sustainable work environment.
– Socialy responsible – on our web site you will see badges with the text “Support for”. The idea is that we donate a percentage from every order to the non-governmental organization (NGO) that is on the badge. And we have a special preorder tshirt from which we donate 100% of the revenue to the NGO on the badge. Our first partner is an animal shelter called Animal Rescue Sofia (Sofia because it is based in Sofia, Bulgaria). We hope in the future we will work with more organizations.
Hope you enjoy the brand! And if you want something special don’t forget to check our collector’s edition
Andy: Thanks for the submission, I’m sure that paw design will do well!
