I’m going to France for work again (driving the 1000 mile journey in a slow van that doesn’t have a/c as you read this post). It’s only for a couple of weeks this time meaning I should be back before the end of the month, unless something unforeseen happens and we need to stay for longer. I’ve also been told that the internet isn’t working at the house I’m working at, so I probably won’t be able to write posts there, or answers e-mails.
I’ve written some posts that will automatically be posted, but I won’t be keeping up the rather energetic posting schedule that I’ve managed to maintain over the past few weeks. You also won’t be getting my usual critique on recommendations, since I wrote them in a bit of a rush.
So, just to be clear, don’t expect to get a reply to an e-mail or comment for the next couple of weeks.
I got an e-mail from someone yesterday chastising me for not having pictures in the archives and on the second page of the blog (single posts still looked right though), telling me to loosen the purse strings and shell out for the extra bandwidth needed to serve up all the images, when in reality I can actually handle 200x the current bandwidth being used. The reason why there was no pictures in the archives was due to some kind of error in the code for the blog template, which I spent the morning looking at and have now fixed.
So go, feel free to look back and actually be able to read the site properly, sorry I hadn’t fixed it earlier.
And when I say back soon, I mean tomorrow. I’m driving my grandparents home (two and a half hours away, how nice am I?) and at the same time I’m going to be taking in the not so glamourous fixture of Newcastle vs Barnsley in the second round of the Carling Cup, still, football is football and I’ll finally get to watch Michael Owen playing for Newcastle rather than England.
Anyway, I don’t know if it is all that necessary for me to explain why I’m not posting today, but I’ll be back tomorrow with more top notch finds!
Rush, rush, rush!
I’ve been called away to London a day earlier than I was expecting, so there will be no posts today, sorry about that, I was hoping that my little trip to the capital (delivering a family friends’ antique furniture) wouldn’t get in the was of posting, but.. c’est la vie…
I’m back Sunday night so posting will resume Monday, and I won’t be answering any e-mails until then either.
You guys know I’m not a designer, which is why I write about clothes rather than make them, but the old look was getting rather stale, and frankly I was a little bit bored, so I thought I’d freshen things up with the rather excellent theme that Blogging Pro released a few months ago.
As ever with these kinds of change overs, things aren’t exactly as I’d like them to be quite yet, not all the colours are quite right as I’m sure you can tell, but I think this looks pretty good.
If you have any thoughts on it, or spot any bugs that need clearing up then feel free to let me know.
I’m heading off to Amsterdam tomorrow morning and I’ll hopefully be back late on Sunday night (as long as EasyJet doesn’t end up acting like… EasyJet). I was intending to get to posts written up to automatically post over the next few days, but unfortunately work has got in the way and I haven’t had the chance to do any. Sorry.
If anyone has any ideas for where I should go and what I should do in Amsterdam than feel free to leave a comment.
I’ve been getting quite a lot of e-mails from new (to me) brands recently, and whilst I do intend to point out some of the better looking items when I get a chance in the future, there’s a few in there that I’m not overly impressed by, but I thought I’d let you guys be the judge anyway.

I’ve started a blog about toilet graffiti, yeah, I know, its a pretty stupid subject, but it fascinates me and I was surprised to find that no one writes a blog about it that has pictures.
So I present to you: Permanent Marker Poetry
I don’t really know what you’re going to think about this, but I’m going to be lowering the charity donations from the 50% of revenue that I’d set the bar at earlier this year.
I feel bad about it, since the people I’m giving money too need it far more than I do, but giving away half of everything I earn every month seems like a bit much when I don’t have a ‘real’ job.
This months donation went to a farmer from Azerbaijan called Sefter Sefterov through the Kiva lending service.
I’m off to Newcastle for a couple of days for my cousin’s wedding, and just like every other time that I go to a city, I don’t expect (or want, really) internet access, so there’ll be no posts until next week.
