OMUNKY are well known to regular readers of HYA, high quality tees featuring animals, it’s a simple but solid concept and it works well with artwork that it’s hard to hate. Usually Omunky release one design at a time, slowly growing the collection and offering different colourways, but this time they’re trying a different approach. They’re turning to Kickstarter to help fund a collection that’s being dubbed the ‘Farm Series’ and as you would imagine is a new collection of shirts (and prints) dedicated to animals on the farm. It’s a natural progression for Omunky and I can see why Rick would want to put out the series as one group since the animals are a bit of a departure from the norm for him, and therefore why he’d want to use a service like Kickstarter to help fund it.

One thing I know about Rick is that he’s a fair guy, so I’m glad to see that he hasn’t fallen foul of one of the usual pitfalls of getting greedy with the rewards for pledge levels and it all looks good value in that regard, so do head on over and if there’s something you like put down a pledge.

They’re ridiculous, but I do think it would be kind of funny to have one or two of these framed on my wall as if they were fine works of art.

Our buddies over at 604Republic have taken some of their popular tee designs and put them on high-quality paper. Each poster is available now for just $14 a piece.

I’m not going to be doing a big Black Friday or Cyber Monday list this year, they’re just too much work, but I will be adding a few of the sales going on this week to the site in regular blog posts.

Made With Awesome have kicked things off early by putting all their tees down to $18 with prints just $10, and free domestic shipping if you spend more than $75. The sale will continue until November 28th at midnight (no time zone provided, but I’m sure that if you want to buy something you’ll do it well before the end of the sale).

Oh wow, I think we can all agree that the “the whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts” is a pretty fantastic tee, right? The rest of the release isn’t too shabby at Random Objects either.

This isn’t actually a submission, but Matt’s e-mail to me about the release covers all the bases and I think I’m getting a migraine so I think it’s okay to let him do all the work.

Really great to see Matt coming along with his brand, he’s got a really coherent design style and sticks to what he likes rather than blindly following trends, which I respect a lot, here’s to the next 5 years!

One Good Atom got in touch with me recently to say hello and let me know about their new charity t-shirt sites. One Good Atom aims to occasionally produce limited edition runs of t-shirts and art prints from guest artists, and then give all of the profits to a charity of the artist’s choice. All sounds good to me, the world gets some good tees, and charities get money to continue doing their work, I’m pretty sure everyone wins.

This week they have “It’s Own Place” by Alan Kerr (who is actually the site’s founder too) up for pre-order, available in cuts suitable for men and women (£13) or as an art print (£8) with the goods being shipped out on or around November 5th. Alan has chosen the UK depression charity Mind to receive the profits from his artwork. It’s going to be cool to see who else they get, it would be great to see this site really take off.

Typography Shop have just put a couple of lovely posters on pre-sale featuring songs about love from the 80s, all impeccably laid out of course, available in a colourful version, or rather more subdued black and white. The cool thing is that the song titles themselves actually tell a bit of a love story, showing how a relationship began and progressed, which is pretty neat and shows that they weren’t just slapping the titles up there for pure nostalgia value. In this pre-sale each poster is available for the ridiculously reasonable price of $12.99.
